Chapter 10

I rubbed tired over my eyes as we walked to school the next day. I yawned loudly and but my freezing hands back in my pockets. „Didn't you sleep well?" I heard Kenya ask next to me. He was reading his book but put it down and gave me a worried look. „Not really", I mumbled and yawned again, even the cold air didn't really wake me up. I pushed my scarf more into my face. We fell back in silence for a bit. „Whats the reason for that you couldn't sleep?" I hesitate for a bit, while we passed Saturos house. I scrunched my nose. „So?" I quickly turned my head to Kenya, feeling how my face heat up. „Um, I couldn't stop worrying about Kayo", I answered after a few seconds. Kenya watched me curious, he was probably looking through my lie but didn't say anything. Instead he pulled my hand out of my pocked and grabbed it. „She'll be fine", he then said and squeezed my hand in a calming way. I cracked a smile and then we already stood in front of the bus.

I knocked three times but no one opened. So I opened the door and perked in, seeing two sleeping kids leaning at each other. I began to grin. „Is something wrong?" I heard Kenya ask behind me and I shook my head opening the door widely and stepping inside. Then the two heads shot up and they jumped away from each other as soon as they realized. I giggled slightly. „I wish I brought moms camera." Kenya chuckled slightly before he said: „C'mon you two we have to go."

„Watch it you jerk", I heard Misato say as she pushed me out of her way. „Who's the jerk here you cow", I growled under my breath and finally stepped inside the classroom, letting go of Kenya's Hand and walking over to our usual spot by the window. „Y/n", I heard Mr. Yashiro say and I turned to him, titling my head in curiosity. „Don't use that language in my class", he scolded me and I rolled my eyes at him. „But Misato pushed me first", I defended myself and crossed my arms in front of my chest. Mr. Yashiro just shook his head and turned away. I pouted. Idiot. „C'mon it has no use", I heard Kenya say and I turned irritated to him. „Yeah I can see that", I growled and then Kazu, Osamu and Hiromi walked in. „Morning you two", Kazu shouted while he put his coat on his chair. He then walked over to us, followed by the other two. „Hm, where's Saturo?" Hiromi asked and I shrugged in respond, while Kenya just ignored him, reading his book.

Hiromi did notice that something was off, so we told him and he was excited to help. Now we were walking to the bus and knocked three times. Kayo smiled at us and I quickly walked over her, sitting next to her. „Did you sleep Good?" I ask and she nodded, I let out a sight of relief. Knowing that at least one of my thoughts that kept me up all night, wasn't something I had to worry about. „I'm glad you did", I said and leaned back, finally feeling relaxed after the whole day. Hiromi then pulled out a card game and some comics. „Oh yeah I almost forgot", I grabbed my backpack and pulled out a cup of Instant ramen, then I also pulled out a vacuum flask. Opened the cup of ramen and poured the hot water in it. „Here you Go", I gave the cup to Kayo and she grabbed the chopsticks I also gave her. „Thank you y/n",

„So Saturo, are going to Kayo tonight?" I asked and Hiromis head shot up. He was looking at us, while Saturo nodded andI let out a small chuckle. „You really do like her", Saturo blushed a deep color of red and we all began to laugh.
