Ashley's POV

I shifted from one foot to another and stared anxiously out the window. It was almost time for me to meet the pack and no amount of reassuring was helping me.

Sugar coating didn't work either.

'Baby, relax..' Jake sighed and pulled me away from the window onto his lap, 'They will love you!'

I merely shook my head and started rapping my fingers against my thigh counting down the last few minutes I have left, 'How are you so sure Jake? I mean, I'm neither human nor werewolf! I bet they've never even heard of a Flügel before! What if they find me weird, what if they think I'm a threat to them? Oh god, what if your parents want me out of the pack? Jake I don't think I'm ready for thi--'

He cut me off and I felt his lips against mine. He didn't pull away until I calmed down.

'It's going to be alright Princess. They will love you, trust me. You're perfect in every way, I don't even think I can find a flaw in you. You've already displayed the roles of a Luna and so far, everyone who's met you loved you. Ashley, just relax and trust me ok?' Through the time he said it to me, never once did his gaze leave my eyes. I could feel the love and sincerity pouring out from his words, he meant every single one of it.

Good god I would have teared up from it. It was beyond romantic.

'It's time. Ready?' He gave my hand a light squeeze and I nodded in return, to busy trying to calm myself to speak.

Jake walked out the door and stepped onto the stage and the pack was cheering and I could hear distinctive shoutings like "show us the Luna!" and "Congrats Alpha!". They quietened down with a raise of his hand.

'As you all know, I've found my mate-,' he paused and the crowd cheered once more before dying down again, 'And you've probably heard that she isn't human or werewolf-' The murmurs got louder and I felt myself panic again. Shit, I knew it. 'She is a Flügel, a winged shifter. For those who've actually listened in mythological classes will know, and she is the last of her kind. But she means no harm and her strength is needed for the pack. I hope you all will welcome her with warm open arms to your new Luna,' He signaled for my appearance and I mentally braced myself as I walked up the stage. There was not a single noise. It was dead quiet, for a second I thought that time froze. No one made a move or sound.

I was about to turn tail and flee with Jake grabbed me by the waist and interlocked my hand in his not before raising it up.

'Blood Rose Pack welcomes Ashley Brooklyn Williams as it's new Luna!'

The moment Jake announced it, the silence broke and the crowd went wild. If I thought they were like thunder when Jake was up there, it was nothing compared to my appearance. I'm surprised if they cheers could reach the next state! That's how loud they were.

I got a little more confident with all the cheers and shouting and waved back a little. Hell, I even blew a kiss which I got a few whistles in response.

'See? I told you they'd love you.' Jake's husky voice broke me out of my waving and I faced him with a relieved smile.

'Yup, I shouldn't have doubted you Jakey.'

'Let's enjoy the party shall we?'

I didn't even got to answer as he leaned forward and pushed his lips against mine.

If I thought the crowd couldn't get any louder, boy was I wrong.

I stood on my tippy toes and wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to me and at the same time he wrapped his thick bulky arms around my waist, lifting me up higher both physically and mentally. I let out a moan when he had his hands on my ass which let his tongue enter my mouth. As aggressive as I was, he obviously won the fight and I purred as our tongues interwind.
