The Quirkless Hero Book 1

You can't be a hero

Izuku Midoriya is a kid without a Quirk in a world full of them, he is in his classroom on the last day of school. He is sat on his desk waiting for the bell to go as his teacher asks "It's been a great year I hope you go on to do great things, is anybody thinking about entering the hero course."

Katsuki Bakugou put's his hand up mentioning UA, and Izuku raises his hand shyly "Bakugou with you scores and quirk I'm sure you will get into UA isn't it, Midoriya are you sure you want to become a hero you know without a quirk it's next to impossible." The teacher is stopped by Bakugou "Quit being nice and give him the truth, you may as well just give up everyone knows you can't be a hero without a quirk" 

Midoriya is slow to respond "I- I know but they stopped the rule of having to have a quirk to go to UA so I may still have a chan-" He is cut off with Bakugou's booming voice "Shut up Deku you will never be a hero yo-"

The teacher is quick to put a stop to this "Enough Bakugou. Have a good summer everyone." He says as he leaves.

Izuku is packing up his stuff and about to pack his notebook, but Bakugou takes it out of his hands. "Please give it back Kacchan." he asks as Bakugou inspects it  "What is it" He says looking at it "your stupid notes on heroes, there is no point having it your not gonna be a hero." He says as he activates his quirk blowing up his notebook charring it, he get's ready to throw it out the window but Izuku grabs his hand. 

"No don't it took me a long time to make it." He says as tears start to form in his eyes "Like I care." Bakugou responds as uses his explosives to shoot his hand away burning it then eh he throws his book out the window "Just die already you Deku, like anybody will care." He says leaving the classroom 

Izuku holds his arm going to the medical office once his arm get's wrapped up, he goes outsides and finds his notebook in a pond. He picks it up seeing it soaked begins to walk home. He suddenly stops as he sees something come out of the sewers a green sludge starts surrounding him and crawling into his mouth and nose. But then a tall figure falls from the sky with a smile on his face shouting 

"It's okay because I AM HERE. TEXAS SMASH!" His attack causes a gust of wind blowing away the sludge and he quickly captures it inside a bottle. Midoriya looks in amazement at his favourite hero "All Might it's really you, thank you for saving me, oh my notebook I need a autogra-" He opens it and sees it's signed THANK YOU!" All Might smiles and say's "No problem, have a good day goodbye." As All  Might jumps in the air Midoriya jumps on him "Wait!" All Might sees it and lands on a near by building but this time one of the bottles didn't fall out. 

"You could have gotten really hurt kid." He says as Midoriya appologises "I'm sorry, I needed to ask you a question." 

 "Oh what is it?" All Might questions "I-Is it possible to be a hero without a quirk." All Might pauses before he answers "... I'm sorry but no. Without a quirk you can never be a hero." 

Izuku: Wha- Are you sure." He say's with a disheartened face "Yes. I'm positive your only deluding yourself if you think otherwise" He says as he jumps away

Izuku walks down the stairs of the building and goes home his mother greets him and he goes straight to his room, and starts to rip down the posters of All Might and packs away his collectibles. But his mother walks in. "Izuku I heard noise, are you okay. What happened to your posters of All Might." he turns to face her "I'm fine mom don't worry. As for the posters I just don't like All Might anymore." She looks at him confused "Why not. he is your favourite hero you watch him all the time" 

 "Don't remind me.  Please don't worry about it mom. I'm going to bed early, goodnight." He say's as he finishes packing the box "If your sure, goodnight." The next day he has breakfast with his mom and leaves the house early and goes on a walk. 

"I was stupid to ever idolise him, I'm gonna prove him wrong I will become a hero without a quirk. The UA exams are in a year, I need to find a way to pass them, there is no way I can get a quirk. I can pass the written exam but the physical I don't know maybe there is a way if I train my body and get stronger, maybe I can pas the exa-"

Narrator: Before he can finish he bumps into a large man holding groceries.
