Alia's POV:

I've been wondering what happened to Sharuk. He didn't show up to the courtroom this morning, so asked Shanaya to get the list that we had to discuss today.

I've arranged for a short, private meeting with the four of us- me, Shanaya, Sharuk and Anastasia to make arrangements for the things that I promised to her yesterday. I really would like to make changes in this rule if the previous one was such a nasty one. No wonder it was from the Jerk, himself. This morning I went down to the market myself and asked around about the robbery that's been happening, allegedly.

That's when I saw one happen, with my own eyes. Visailis, one of my senate minister who handles functional events of northern Mycenae, stole the goats from a seller who earned them by selling his grains. I asked Shanaya what I have got to do in this case scenario and she advised me to keep calm and go there just like any other seller who's willing to buy from that trader. So, I did exactly what she said. But by the time we got there, Visailis was already gone and thought to question him later.

"Shanaya, where's this dumb idiot?"

"I don't know, Lee. Probably he's gallivanting somewhere around here."

"Are you sure?"

"No. Of course not, I was just kidding, girl."

"What- Shanya what happened to your arm?"

"What?"

"Look at them, something is wrong."

And that's when I noticed her mildly-discolored hand.

"OH MY GOD. WHAT THE ACTUAL-"

I gave her hand a slight press to make her notice the surrounding we were in. The courtroom was filled with nobles and other senate members ranging from Thompas (The one who is responsible for each district, sort-of) to Ministers.

"Didn't you notice this when you showered?"

"No, if anything, I would've definitely told you about it. But What the hell is this thing. It looks like they are cracked and flaky."

"Cletus, do we have any other cases pending?"

"No, your highness."

"Okay, the court is done for the day. And Visailis, you stay."

"Shanaya, let's get done with him and then I'll concentrate on our problem at hand."

"YES."

"So visailis, I heard you were quite the man in action today at the market? What did you do?"

"I did nothing, your majesty. Just took a check on the people to see if they were paying their share of goods for the kingdom."

"And?"

"And there was one trader who refused to pay his price. So, I took his goats in exchange."

"Okay, so the goats were for the kingdom- right?"

"Yes, your majesty."

"Where are the goats, then? I don't see any goats extra in our count for the day which was taken before the court session and quite a sometime has passed after you blindly robbed him."

"Your Majesty, I would never do such a thing. You can't accuse me of something that you can't prove."

"How dare you talk to your highness like that!" Shanaya got furious.

"Shh, let him Shanaya. He's think I don't have proof."

"Yes, she doesn't. She's blaming me out of nowhere. She might even charge me with treason for something as petty as pulling a woman's dress in public."
