Alia's POV:I ran all the way to see my chamber, to see my friends and to share everything with them. Especially to let Shanaya and Sharuk, who've been stuck with me, through thick and thin. I've been wanting to tell them the truth that I too have the fish skin because, from the story Nicholas and Darius told me about, I think I might be the next victim. But unfortunately, I was greeted by an empty chamber.
Where did they go? I asked them not to leave the chamber until I came back.
No one ever listens to me. No one.
I got inside and asked one of my guard to bring Azarius.
I heard a knock on my door, signalling this arrival.
"Come on in."
"Your majesty."
I didn't want to waste any more of my time.
"What are you?"
"Pardon majesty?."
"What are you?"
I couldn't take my eyes off of him, not because he was handsome but because he was a killer. Azarius looked exactly like him- the killer of the two greatest rulers of the time.
"I don't understand what you're talking, your majesty."
"Don't act as if you don't know what I'm talking about. You are the only one who knows exactly what I'm talking about, Azarius."
"Honestly, I don't."
"So let me ask you a question. Who killed Pythia and Symon?"
And then his eyes grew wide, mouth wide open, but he couldn't utter a single word.
I glared at him, focusing on all my anger. The anger slowly turned into a sly smirk, knowing he was struggling with his own words. I arched my eyebrows, daring him to go forth with his chain of lies.
"So tell me who did?"
"I'm sorry my queen, but I still don't know what you are talking about."
"Oh yea, you will talk when I ask you the same question in the dungeons."
I was waiting for reaction-any reaction from him that would prove he was the killer.
But there was none.
"I still don't know what you're talking about, your majesty."
He kept repeating the same thing again and again. It was getting into my nerves.
"So you're saying you aren't the one who killed both of them.""
"I am saying, I did not kill anyone and I am the one you are looking for."
"Okay then, why did you hide the fact that fish-skin was a fatal skin condition and also why did you hide its presence in the history ?"
He had nothing to say, so I kept going on.
"And why did you give me a cream or something that you said and I quote- 'would prevent the fish skin' ?"
Still no answer.
"Okay, so let's get to another topic. I recently heard a rumour from the market that people were saying I had the fish skin, so no one except you know that I have them. What do you say about that? Do you account for it?"
Still no answer.
THIS FUCKING PIECE OF LITTLE SHIT.
There was a knife in the fruit bowl which was next to me. I took that and threw it directly, aiming at the wall behind his face.
