Trapped into Twilight

Port Angelas

        Right after my sisters left, I went on the computer and looked up, "Vampires".

There were so many articles about it. I almost threw up after reading all the legends and looking at all the grotesque pictures of them. 

After that, I felt stuffy so I went out and took a walk to clear my head. 

In reality, I really like walking so I didn't realize the time that passed by when I saw that it was dark by the time I got home.

Charlie was waiting for me upset, telling me that I needed to tell him where I was going before.

I agreed with him shortly and went on to my room.

I went into bed, exhausted then went into a deep sleep.

On Monday, Alex still wasn't there. I was upset and couldn't concentrate during class.

I knew that he was out hunting with his 'brother' but I missed him terribly and couldn't wait for him to come back.

Knowing that I was going to have to spend another Tuesday on my own, I decided to go shopping after school, hoping that it would take my mind away from him.

I walked around that day, looking at cute clothing but realized how different times have changed.

For example, there were no skinny jeans. I hated wearing anything besides skinny jeans or leggings back home so I bought a pair of leggings that were surprisingly there.

Once I bought it, I changed into them in the dressing room. 

Since it took me a while just to find leggings, I was just about to head home when I saw a group of men from the corner of my eye.

I knew that they were just probably hanging out, or drunk, so I went on my way until I saw them again, this time nearer. 

I had a sense that they were following me so I tried to quicken up my pace and go into a store.

Unsurprisingly, none of the stores were opened now, now that it was past twilight.

I gulped and rounded to a corner when I bumped into someone.

"S-sorry! I-"

I looked up.

This man was wearing all black and had a really ugly smile.

"Hey there, lady, do you think we could give you a ride?" 

It's probably my stupid leggings I thought but that's no reason for them to try to rape me!!!! They need to control their stupid minds!

I laughed nervously.

"I have a ride. My friend's waiting for me, in fact." I lied.

The man chuckled, and I smelled booze.

I scrunched my nose.

"Well, that's too bad. We're going to give you a ride anyway."

We?? Who's we??? 

Right when I thought that, I saw a bunch of other ugly men coming out from all sides.

Great... Just great! 

The 'main' guy went and grabbed my purse.

"I don't have any money!!" I yelled. I had to ask my 'dad' for a 20 when I left the house but he gave me a 10 when I left, because of that one time I didn't tell him I was going to the woods and he got upset. I guess it was a penalty.

The other men started to advance towards me when I heard a screeching sound of a car.

Alex!!

Alex came out and he looked scarier than ever. Almost like the version of Alex from my dreams..

"Get. In. The. Car."

I gulped then ran straight towards the passenger seat. 

He came back into the car, then we speed off.

"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?" Alex exploded.

I was taken aback from his anger.

"Uhhh-"

"WHAT DID I TELL YOU?"

My surprised look was replaced with his anger.

"Well you never told me to NOT go ANYWHERE!"

He looked at me with his intense eyes.

"I told you to not be stupid. What were you trying to do!!"

"Nothing!" I said flailing my arms up.

"Why would you wear something like that at night??"

I gave him an offended look.

"What I wear shouldn't affect anybody!"

He sped up the car even more.

"Dang! Slow down!" I yelled.

He glanced at me then sped up even more.

I groaned. He's so stubborn I thought.

When we got to my house driveway, I got out of the car and sighed.

"I'm sorry Jennifer... Er Bella.. I guess.. I dunno I just missed you so much and when I saw you with those people, I assumed you were looking for trouble and... I just missed you."

He hugged me briefly.

I sighed again and crossed my arms.

"I missed you too." I mumbled.

"I'm gonna let everybody know tomorrow okay?" He said.

"What?" I asked.

"That... we're official."

I nodded. "I mean I guess." I replied with a hint of a smile. It was about time he did. Poor Mike.. and Tyler.. and Eric...

"Oh one last thing." Alex started.

"I can hear other people's thoughts."

I gulped because I was thinking about some cruel things about him, after he yelled at me earlier.

"But I can't hear yours." 

I mentally sighed in relief. 

"Oh-" I started.

"-And I don't like the things Mike and Tyler thinks about you."

"Wha-what do you mean?" I asked.

"I mean.. well, you know what I mean." He said shortly.

"Like, rape???" I asked

"uh yeah I-I gotta go now.. I'll see ya tomorrow okay?"

I nodded slowly.

He got into his car and backed out of the driveway.

I sighed then went into the house.

"Dad, I'm home!!"

Charlie was watching TV apparently waiting for me.

He smiled and nodded. I guess it was because I called him 'dad'; I hardly ever did.

I went into my room and thought about today and shuddered. Defiantly never going to Port Angelas alone again.
