SCENE: It's Yule Ball time and Leo is anxious and Estelle is impatient!

Leo Caelum Black is anxious.

Ever since Professor McGonagall (for him it's Minnie) announced about the Yule Ball taking place at Hogwarts on Christmas, he's been thinking of different ways to ask his darling Ellie to the ball. Minnie as in Professor Minerva McGonagall, who is not only the head of Gryffindor House but also Leo's unofficial grandmother, who he went for advice, said and he quote 'If Estelle is anything like her mother she would love it to be very simple and straight forward, Athena never when accepted James asked her out extravagantly, she liked it to be simple and sweet'. The same words were repeated by Professor Potter.

Leo knew Estelle was just like her mother in such matters because she doesn't like anything extravagant, be it gifts or anything else. He even wrote a letter to his father Sirius Black seeking advice for this matter who replied back with a letter saying "Ask her in Great Hall using fireworks and flowers, make the gesture extravagant and romantic". But then again what could he expect from Sirius Black who was born with dramatics. He vetoed his father's advice knowing Estelle would never say yes.

Days after the announcement, he's seen so many boys asking Estelle and her declining them gently saying she can't go with them because she doesn't know them well. That is one positive point for him as Estelle knew him from the time they were babies (never mind the 11 years they were apart, those were the most difficult years in his life). He then decided he would ask her the very same day with a bouquet of her favorite flowers, which he knew for sure are Peonies. He continued drinking his pumpkin juice hoping he wouldn't be rejected like all the other guys were.

Estelle Potter is impatient.

Ever since Professor McGonagall (Minnie for her) announced about the approaching Yule Ball, she's been thinking when Leo would man up and ask her.

Estelle was in thoughts to just ask him because she knew he would lose all his Gryffindor bravery at moments like this when Minnie, who along with her head of the house is also her god mother, approached her telling about Leo's attempt of seeking advice from her.

Now, Minerva McGonagall is no snitch, she would've waited for the boy to ask her god daughter but when she saw the number of people asking her she wasn't sure about Estelle rejecting everyone of them. She knew her god daughter was impatient and would think Leo wouldn't ask her and there's a chance she would say yes to Lucas Hayes, who is from Durmstrang but he also became a good friend to Estelle. So, she approached her god daughter telling her to wait for Leo to ask her. She was sure if Leo didn't ask her by the next day, Estelle would herself ask him.

Leo Black was nervous.

He made a whole speech to ask Estelle to be his date but then decided she would like it simple and also he couldn't remember the whole thing. He also got the bouquet of Peonies and was waiting for everyone to go to their rooms so he could be alone with Estelle in the Gryffindor common room when he asks her to ball.

Just then Hermione and Ron entered the common room and he furrowed his brows as he didn't find Estelle with them. He went towards them and asked, "Where is Ellie?"

"We were coming back along with her when Lucas Hayes stopped her and right now she's talking to him" replied Hermione.

Leo Black was anxious again.
