YOUR POV

I don't know how minutes have passed since I woke up and yet I made no move of getting up. Instead, I've been staring at the person laying beside me, admiring his side profile. Through the binds of the room's window, I can tell it's already morning since I woke up earlier when it's still a little dark. I'm having quite a mixed feeling for today. I will be introducing him to mom and Gin... I wonder how Gin will react.

Suddenly, I felt him stir. He must've noticed me beside him when I saw the corner of his lip turn upwards even when his eyes are closed, I felt his hand went to my head, combing my hair.

"Good morning." His sight must still be adjusting at the light.

"Good morning. How are you feeling?" Yawning, he finally opened his sleepy eyes and turned to me with a grin plastered on his face.

"Quite sore." I adjusted myself in a more comfortable position and he grab hold of my hand, bringing it to his lips in a soft kiss.

"Sorry. And I'm sorry our first had to be on a couch." I laughed at his statement and feeling embarrassed at the topic he started early in the morning.

"I don't really care as long as it's you." He laughed along with me before pulling me closer by my exposed waist and pulling the covers over us to cover the nakedness of our bodies. Shockingly enough, he had a lot of homely stuffs in his own shop as he told me last night that he stays here often.

"Are you hungry?" He asked as he continued drawing shapes on my skin, making me shiver under his touch. I only nod my head as a response and he smiled. "Go shower. I'll buy us some food. Can you manage?"

"Ye—" I paused halfway when I tried to sit up and instantly felt the soreness in between my legs. I turn to look at him only to see him smiling at me widely, still laying on his back. "Can you help me to the bathroom?"

Without another word, he carried me in a bridal style to the bathroom and slowly placed me on the tiled floor.

"I'll be quick, okay?" He said, kissing my forehead as he knelt in front of me. "We'll head straight to your home after we have breakfast." He pulled the towel over his waist to cover himself. "I'll be taking you somewhere else after meeting your family." I tilt my head to the side, curious to what he has in his mind.

"Where?"

"I want you to meet someone." His smile is wide as he not-so-answered my question.

"Aren't you going to open your shop today?" I'm worried that he's been with me for quite some time now and didn't spend much time with his shop.

"I'll have someone else watch over the shop again. Don't worry." He pat my head before helping me with the water.

"Alright then."

After taking a bath, Shinichiro just came back in time for breakfast and we spent the morning together. And right now, here we are, sitting on the couch beside each other with both my brother with his wife and mother in front of us as my nephew, Yuno is playing with Shinichiro, distracting him with his toys. With the continuous sound of Gin's shoe tapping on the floor and my mother and my sister in law's intimidating gaze, I kept silent waiting for them to start a conversation again.

Luckily, Gin was the first one to break the silence when he let out a sigh and leaned forward.

"I've been wondering this since earlier. Since when did you two made up?" Gin squinted his eyes at us, catching Shinichiro's attention.

"Oh Gin, Ma. We're back together." I announced and I saw Gin's jaw drop in total surprise.

"Oh good fo—wait what??" My mother's eyes widened as she look at me and back to the person sitting beside me.

"Since when?!" Gin interrupted.

"Since the day after you told me to try again." I answered in all honesty and I can see the frustration building up in him by his face expression.

"I never told you to do it this fast—ahhh you're really an idiot." He slumped back on the couch, spreading his arms on the headrest as his wife placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Gin, if they love each other then why not?" She added and I gave her a smile. This didn't go unnoticed by the others as they all turned to Shin.

"Are you really serious about her, Shinichiro?" Gin asked and Shinichiro squeezed my hand tight in his as he nod his head as a response. "Don't get me wrong. I haven't forgiven you yet for what you did but if it makes her happy then I have no right to object." He crossed his arms.

And with that, we spent time just catching up on everything which drew them closer again to the raven haired guy. And after having lunch, me and Shinichiro went to pay my father and grandfather a short visit before leaving the house.

After offering my prayers, I glanced at him from the corner of my eye whom I noticed has been eyeing me weirdly since we came to this room.

"You look worried. What's wrong?"

"It's just that I didn't get to apologize to them as well for what I did." He unclasped his hands together before sighing.

"I'm sure they had long forgiven you. Dad and Gramps were always a fond of you." I reassured him. My father especially my grandfather took a liking to him on first day when they tested him for his—well, love for me even for such an early age. That's why I had trusted him completely as well, knowing he got on both their good sides.

"I'll love and take good care of Y/N for eternity. That I can promise you." Hearing those words, I turn to look at him and his eyes are fixated on the photos in front together with the jar of ashes and I blinked in surprise.

"You can't do that."

"I can. Even if I die, I'll do anything to come back just to fulfill that promise." He stated still not giving me a glance and by the sound of his voice, it didn't seem to me like he was joking at all.

"Hey Y/N?"

"Yeah?" There was a pause before his eyes met mine in a serious manner.

"If I die, don't feel bad to love someone else. I know I said I'll come back for you no matter what but I want you to be happy, too." I blinked at his words, processing it in my mind at the sudden speech.

"Idiot. Why are you even talking like that?" His words did not only make me feel uneasy but it felt like a bad omen to me to talk like that. It's as if he's going to leave me soon... and I never wanted that. With a glare, I look to the front, ignoring his gaze. "If you die then I'm coming along. I am not leaving your side. I might even go first before you do."

"You speak of death so casually." He sighed, rubbing the back of his head. Silence took over as I gather my thoughts, finally being aware of that subject.

"I'm not scared of death, Nichi. For years, that's what I've failed to care for, knowing Gramps and Dad are waiting for me on that side but..." Ever since I lost them, I did not feel any fear for death anymore. In fact, I hoped for it to come sooner before but today's a different story. I look back at him and met his worried gaze.

"I'm more scared of losing you again." I whispered, feeling my voice tremble in the process. This whole conversation stirs an unsettling feeling within me but I can't let him think that way again. Because to me, he can never be replaced. "So I'll make sure nothing bad will happen." I smiled and reached for his hand, squeezing it in a tight grip before intertwining his fingers with mine.

"Because even when everything comes to an end, it'll still be you who's in my heart no matter what."
