Lio came back to him and his fellow microbiologist's home, seemingly a bit stressed.

"Hey, honey" Song said lovingly to her husband as he took his shoes off and sat down in the kitchen. "Rough day?" she asked with a small smile that Lio couldn't help but return.

"Dr. Emilia's really been on my case recently over Hugo" he explained miserably. "She wants to take our research to greater heights so we can stop keeping ourselves hidden down here, so she's making us all suffer for it" He let out a big sigh.

Song looked over sadly to the mandrill, who was currently reduced to a simple bystander they paid little mind to unless it was strictly necessary.

"I'm trying to persuade her into giving us more time, but she won't let up!" Lio let out a frustrated exhale. Song placed a gentle hand on his shoulder in comfort, allowing the man's anxieties and stressors to let up slightly.

"Why can't she call in help from another burrow?" Song asked after a moment of quiet. "She's too proud" Lio replied, tone laced with annoyance. "Besides, the only other science burrows we know of are international, and our technology to communicate with the outside is very limited" he explained. "It's not like we have a telephone or whatever they used back in the old world"

Another moment of silence passed, only occasionally broken by the sound of Hugo playing with his toys.

"And she can't find anyone else on the inside to speed up the process more..." Song mumbled to herself before giving Lio a firm pat on his shoulder. "You go sit on the couch, I'll make dinner tonight and we can discuss this more" she instructed.

"And take a shower" she continued. "I love you, but you smell like you've been up above in the trenches"
