Required Words : Halloween, freezer, dock, strengthen, voices, surprise, contribute, bird, iron, requirementThe Halloween of 2015 had truly served as the last moment of childhood for the kids who would go on to be known as The Lakewood Five.
Of course, some voices may argue that Nina had been this end point, but that had not been as unanimously traumatizing as Halloween had been. Brooke got locked in an iron freezer and subsequently stabbed. Audrey also got in a confrontation with the killer, but luckily was able to get away safely (likely due to her prior friendship with said killer).
Emma definitely got it the worst though. She was the only one who required therapy in the immediate aftermath, though it would have done the others good as well. To find out that the innocent podcast lady who she'd grown to see as a friend was actually her homicidal half-sister was... Surprising, to say the very least.
She had also almost lost her mother, got stabbed in the stomach, and had the additional trauma that came with having shot Piper in the head. She never could go on that dock without a bit of uneasiness after that.
Audrey's own contributions to- Well, everything- was a bit upsetting in its own right (though their relationship was stronger for it after everything calmed down since it forced them to confront each other).
The two had been super close when they were little. Perhaps them temporarily drifting apart was also influenced by their childhood abruptly ending. Who's to say?

Audrey came over to Emma's house late one night.
"Audrey. Hi!" Emma greeted as she opened the door, a bit caught off guard by her girlfriend's sudden arrival. "Hey" Audrey replied with a small but loving smile. "Noah was trying to take me bird watching, and... Love the guy, but I'll pass"
Emma chuckled. Halloween was just the next day, so it was nice to have some kind of distraction from the traumas clouding her mind. "Understandable" she joked. "Come in. You wanna watch a horror movie or something?"
"I'd like that"
