Blythe's P.O.V.

I hang up the phone shortly and leave the washroom

Kristi was still by the booth waiting for me

"Geez, what took you so long Blythe? Intestinal issues?" She joked

"Haha, very funny Kris."

With that we paid for our meal and drove off in Kristi's car

"So that meal cheered you up huh Blythe?"

"It did! Thanks for taking me there Kristi."

"Anytime. I figured we needed to bond somehow, with work and everything."

"Yeah." I reply bluntly

The car ride is silent for a little before Kristi not-so-discretely, raises the volume on the radio

"Dressed up like a million dollar trooper~" She starts singing along

"Tryin' hard to look like Gary Cooper. Come on Blythe sing with me!"

"But I don't know the song-"

"I don't care, you're gonna learn my favourite song one way or another."

Kristi proceeds to raise the volume, to the point I think the car is vibrating with the beat

We arrive back to the hotel (thank god) and exit the car

"See Blythe that wasn't so bad!"

"I guess not.." I mumble

Just as we open the door a very disappointed woman is seen hunched over the front desk

Or otherwise known as, Sandra Verlice, Kristi's mother

Kristi's in so much trouble.

*time skip*

"And you decided to go to Betty's with MY car?!"

"I'm sorry Mama, but I really needed to show Blythe the best breakfast joint in all town-"

"Yes I know why you left this early, but let me remind you; you left with MY car, without MY permission and didn't bring any food back?"

"LOOK MOM IT WAS NESSESSARY-"

"OH SO YOU WANT TO PICK A FIGHT WE ME NOW?"

"NO NO I'M SORRY MOM, PLEASE FORGIVE ME."

"NO, IT'S TOO LATE KRISTINA YOU'RE WORKING THE NEXT SHIFT TONIGHT"

"MOOOOOOM PLEASE!" Kristi is on her knees now and pleading

"I've made my decision Tina."

"AUGH-" She's sobbing now

Miss. Verlice scoffs

"Besides, that's hours away. You still have time to 'chillax' with Blythe."

"Alright- Alright mom thanks." Kristi says sheepishly while dragging me along

"Bye Miss. Verlice-" I say awkwardly

Kristi ends up dragging me to her bedroom

She shoved me slightly onto the bed and began looking for something in her closet

"What are you looking for?" I attempt to peek over her shoulder

She blocks my view "Just a couple things, they've been in here for a while..in the deepest part of my closet."
