"Have a good night sir!"
And.. that's the last order of the day!
Hah, good job Blythe-
"That was a great shift guys! I'll see you tomorrow-"
"You aren't going to help clean Blythe?" the head of the team, Nikita asked
Huh what?
"Sorry. Could- Could you repeat that?"
"You're going to help clean? Right?"
A second girl pipes in "You don't leave as soon as your time shift ends."
"Well at the very least it would be impolite.." Another girl mumbles
They all began whispering amongst themselves
I grit my teeth
Earth is so confusing.
"Yeah no worries, I'll help."
"Awesome you can wash the dishes since you're new." Nikita eagerly says while throwing me gloves and a sponge

And what time is it?
I look at the clock's hands
7:47 pm
I groan
*time skip*
FINALLY!
Time moves slow here
Though I have idea if that's just because of the time difference between there and here..
Or if I've just been gliding through life
Well it doesn't matter..
Because.
I'M BACK HOME!
...
Okay not 'home'
It's an apartment room, but it feels like it!
"Kristi I'm back!" I ring out
I hear a faint "Coming!" from the back room
Kristi comes out shortly
"Hi Blythe! How was the shift?"
I chuckle "Exhausting!"
She laughs heartedly
"Yup, just be glad you have only two days and not the entire week!"
"But don't you have holidays during the holidays?"
She snorted
"Hahaha.. during then is even more chaotic! But luckily the rest of the family comes at that time. So I'm off the hook!"
"It'll get easier though, trust me."
She gives an assuring look as I smile
"ANYWAYS-"
"Do you want to watch a movie? It'll help you relax a bit."
"Sure I guess? What's a movie?"
"It's like a book but with actual people acting out the scenes."
"I understand! What genre are we watching?"
"Romance comedy, or rom-com for short."
"Good taste!"
