Blythe's P.O.V.

After getting rid of Jamie's body, I dusted the ashes off of my outfit and headed back to the main park

Don't have to worry about that anytime soon, I hope

Suddenly, I spotted something in the corner of my eye

A colourful shadow.. in the shape of a person. But it was blurry

Out of the coloured blobs I recognized a few familiar features

maybe too familiar..

I saw the silhouette of hair, that was the colour of caramel candy

As the figure approached closer I saw the colour of their eyes

A bright green..

So bright in fact it put the trees to shame.

And only one person with green eyes could do that.

"It couldn't be.." I muttered

But it was.

The last person I wanted to see.. or at least right now

"Grayson?"

He turns in my direction "Blythe?!"

He quickly rushes towards me and reaches in for a hug, but I gently push him off

"Are you okay? We were so worried about you." He says concerned

"I'm fine." I bluntly stated

"That doesn't sound very 'fine' to me."

No- Really Grayson?

"You're soaking wet. Why did you run out of the house anyways?"

"I just had a rough day that's all."

He exhales

"Look I don't know what happened back there. I have no clue what upset you, who upset you; but I want to make you feel better." He states

"You don't need to, I can handle it."

"I know, but I feel like if you just told me I-"

"I SAID I CAN HANDLE IT!"

As quickly as those words were said the quicker the rest of the words Grayson wanted to say vanished

"I get it. You don't want to explain the situation, I understand."

He backs away, before hesitantly holding out his hand

"Whenever you're ready. I'll be here."

He must've noticed the look on my face because he retracted his hand shortly after

"Or if you don't want to tell me ever." He smiled "Then that's fine too, I'll still be here for you."

Damn it Grayson, you make this harder than it needs to.

"I should probably tell Kristi we're here, so we don't have to walk back."

As he reached in his pocket for assuming what would be his phone, I quickly grabbed his hand

"Wait-!" I blurted

I paused as Grayson looked shocked at my sudden movement

"Please, don't. I don't think I can face Kristi after what just happened, at least right now I can't."
