Blythe's P.O.V.

I open my eyes in response to a splitting headache

I internally groan

I got sick, from the rain

Great.

I considered trying to call Grayson but quickly remembered his mom could be in the house still

"Graysonnnn-" I quietly groan to myself before coughing violently

Well ouch-

I whipped my head around searching for any sign of what Grayson's mom looks like

Oh wait, that's right I don't know what she looks like.

I can make something up

Any sign of a maybe taller woman with some features of Grayson and I can...

Once again I scan the room

...jump out the window?

Risky, but Grandfather won't let me die

would he?

...

that's a question for another day.

Shortly after I internalize my maybe foolproof escape route, I hear a knock on my door

"Hello? Blythe it's Grayson. I have breakfast."

I sprinted towards the door and let him in

"That was fast."

I restrain projecting my voice as to not damage it further

"Well obviously. *cough cough* If you have break- *cough* breakfast, I will *cough cough cough*-"

He looks at me concerned

"Are you okay? Do you need water or-"

"Don't interrupt- *violent cough* me! *cough*"

Grayson quickly shuts his mouth

"As I was *cough* saying, If you have breakfast, I will just *cough cough* rush over."

"Right haha.." Grayson eyes dart to elsewhere in the room

"I'm guessing by all that coughing that you're sick."

I cough as a response

"Alright go back to bed, I'll bring medicine."

He brings a bed tray out and arranges the dishes on it before putting said tray on the bed

Heading out the door he says, "I will be right back I promise." and silently leaves

That medicine better not taste like swamp water.

I take this moment of temporary peace to look at my breakfast
