Grayson's P.O.V.

"Blythe?" I mutter

She has tears in her eyes, fresh ones.

"Yeah um, I think I'm going to go back home early.. you two have fun though-!"

Just as we locked eyes for just a moment just as quickly she looked away running towards the front door

"Blythe wait!" Kristi yelled out

But it was too late, Blythe was already out the door, in the pouring rain

"I don't know what happened.. I-" Kristi stammered

"She doesn't know the direction to the hotel she could get lost! We have to go find her."

She looked at me with sheer determination in her eyes

"Alright, hand me your keys."

"Yeah! Wait what-"

And we were off.. with very little time to spare might I add

I check the time on the radio

2:45 pm.

My mother comes home at 4:30

I push that thought at the back of my head (for now at least) and focus on the topic at hand

Blythe.

I wonder what made her so upset?

Was it something to do with Kristi and I?

Was it me? Did I say something wrong?

Did I do anything to upset her?

Thoughts are flooding my head as I space out temporarily

"GRAYSON!" Kristi exclaims as she takes control of the wheel

As I look forward I see another car passing by on the other side of the road

We almost got hit by a car.

If it weren't for Kristi swerving the car, we'd be dead.

"Phew, buddy you really got to pay attention to the road, we almost got you know-.." She does a cutthroat gesture "You're lucky I was able to take over the wheel."

Her face drops immediately

"What's wrong?" She questions

"I just- I'm so sorry."

I bury my head in my hands

"Woah- hold on. It's alright, I'm not mad."

"I know you're not but I should've been paying attention otherwise." I stated

"Still, we're alive and that good. Let's keep looking for Blythe-"

"We aren't going to find her like this."

Kristi looks baffled "Well then what do you suggest?

"You take the car, I'm going out in the rain." I say as I open the car door.

"Wait-!" Kristi adds while grabbing my arm before I can fully leave the vehicle

"You could get a cold." with a concerned look in her eyes

"It'll be a small cold nothing I can't handle." As I free myself from her grasp

"Besides, we'll be able to find Blythe faster."

She has a doubtful look on her face but nods

"Alright, but keep in touch."

"How are we going to do that? We left both our phones in the rush of things."
