Author's note : I forgot to add the fact that y/n could create realms of their own this is the encounter with Alastor so FINALLY you meet him and get to know him. Okay on with the chapter-
On the second day, you decided to stroll through the city again doing some parkour around some places where you could hop and climb on. You passed by another alley
It had a sign. "KILL AN OVERLORD AND YOULL WIN THE PRIZE OF 11 MIL AND BECOME OVERLORD!" First thing u thought when you saw the prize: MONEY!
You entered to see pools and puddles of blood everywhere, a crowd surrounding the two fighters, cheering on. As you see another being bleed and bruise, another dead body. You weren't surprised, I mean you killed a lot of people in your human life and it's hell, you didn't expect much.
You joined in the line of contestants and analyzed the fight as you were determined to win that 11 million. He was a tall buff demon with traits of a bull, with horns and his tail. The overlord was really a professional in combat based on ur experience-but doesn't really show much magic. You analyzed that he puts in more power in some attacks and uses his tail a lot, and a bunch of tripping. To you, you've seen worse in ur human life, you have killed ten burly men with katanas surrounding you.
NEXT! The overlord shouted with a dead body next to him. That fight ended in seconds. The fighting space was not much, just a concrete ground alleyway between apartment blocks. As you hear the overlord shouting for the next, the line and queue quickly shorten as more dead bodies start to pile up. You started regretting your decision...I just got here what if I die, but isn't that the whole point of the fight?
It's a deathmatch, but you can survive since you already know the strengths and weaknesses of his combat, his stamina can be quite weak but he dodged right after his big attack and his agility wouldn't be great for his state of exhaustion.
Your strategy was to tire him out with a couple of spells and eventually punch him with the same jaw fox skeleton because it damaged one whole house when you messed with it. Just with wisps of what looks like a fox skull that has power and speed to break someone or.. a house with one bite..it took literally one bite.
NEXT! Well, it's your turn. "Hi-" you said but was interrupted by that overlord approaching you with a punch to start the fight. You dodged and he swung another but you were fast enough to dodge. Well, that was a dirty way to start the game, you thought. You continued dodging and dodging to tire him out as he continue to use all his moves, some were just combinations of mere punches and kicks. He smirked and said "Play defense huh? Well, that's a little boring," The fight started to get boring he was desperate as you looked like you were dancing. It made him look like a laughing stock.
"THAT'S IT LITTLE BRAT! IM NOT GONNA PLAY NICE ANYMORE" he shouted and huffed as he looked exhausted. He raised his hand, and fire appeared as he made a move for it. You immediately summoned your magic as fast as u could. A fox skull with all sharp teeth appeared as you opened ur palm and raised your hand and it charged at the overlord- and u clenched ur fist as it bit off the arm of the demon.
"ARGH-" he groaned in agony.
DAMMIT! I missed his head! He suddenly charged at me at an astonishing speed. You couldn't react- you felt something rip, your arm had a big scratch from his horns and he broke some of your bones from a punch of his. You dodged him and tripped him with your tail and punched him with the skull, again." I guess some people need to be bitten twice."
Overlord POV :
Shit! I've never this someone this fast before- why are they doing this- can't they fight back? What are they planning to do-FUCK I got tripped by his stupid tail! I can't react he's too fast! Who is this?? You choked blood-"AH-" u looked down..he made a hole thru your stomach. How?
Y/n POV
You pulled out his organ and tasted the demon's black blood as he lay there all curled up screaming in agony. It tasted bitter, like black coffee, what type of blood is this?-
( to explain why u tasted blood, u drank human blood and would mix the ones that were sweet with wine, mix the bitter ones into coffee, etc, just a creep who likes blood.)
You dropped the stomach as you found yourself with blood-stained clothes and ur arm still scarred but you didn't care." Alright where's the money-" you asked and were in shock as you were cut off with ten or more demons charging at you with swords and guns. "SHIT-", you ran away, seeing a money bag filled to the brim, that must be the 11 mil! You dashed and snatched it as you fled for your life as bites distracted the crowd.
After minutes of running, you reached an empty alleyway and squatted there panting, and stood there, smiling "I managed to get 11 mil yay" u said In a soft tone, mustering all ur strength to open the realm you've just created where bites would sleep in which you made before the fight of course. You heard a bark, the 8-foot bites came and shrank to the size that it could land on ur hand and entered the realm.
Bites helped you carry the money into the realm and u sealed it with some of your strength left. A sense of agony soon hit- u found a sword and a horn stabbed into ur abdomen. Fuck! I don't have enough magic to heal-" My, my! That was one-of-a-kind entertainment for me so far! You looked like u were dancing to a beat!" What the- you turned ur head to see, another demon, this time with antlers, a classy old suit with a bow tie and him holding a staff with red eyes and a big smile.
"Not to be rude but who are you-" u asked in a soft tone. " Ah my apologies, I forgot to introduce myself, I am Alastor! Another overlord, known for being the radio demon and a deal maker! I must say that fight looked like a show of magic and dance! What is your name?" "Oh-I'm Willows," despite ur first name being y/n/Tom-you felt like you've seen him before in your human life," That is a very nice name, have I seen you before? " " no I just got here today-"
His eyes and smile widened in surprise and more excitement? " You really are one of a kind! Oh! Before I forget, since you've won the fight, I must therefore announce that you are the new overlord in hell now!" "Wait-what why wasn't part of the fight" " you managed to kill an overlord that ruled hell for decades, that is very special for someone who is just reached here! Also, you do have the potential and the sign did say that you would get 11 mil and be an overlord, perhaps you were too engrossed about the money prize rather than the title?"
" I guess you could say that-" as u stopped ur sentence noticing something reaching the both of us soon realizing it was gonna hit the radio demon, "WATCH OUT-"
