Saturday and Sunday came and went and Juliet didn't hear from Spencer. It was the first time in their friendship the two went longer than 24 hours without talking. Monday morning as Juliet stood at her locker she couldn't help but notice all the commotion that was going on that morning. Asher and Olivia were quietly fighting because Olivia told her dad about Asher's steroid use. JJ and a couple other guys from the team were playing catch in the hallway, bumping into people. Spencer and Layla were walking down the halls in a tense conversation. Juliet watched them, only looking away when Spencer's eyes landed on her.
After his conversation with Layla ended, he made his way over to Juliet at her locker. "Tyrone is dead." He told her. "Is he?" Juliet replied coldly.
"Yeah, he was shot yesterday outside of his house."
"I'm sure that's a relief for Coop, or I mean you."
"I wish. But I can't help but feel Tyrone's blood is on her hands."
"So you think Coop killed Tyrone?"
"Maybe."
"I see"
It was clear to Jordan that Juliet was still upset. "Look, I'm sorry about Friday night, alright? I got a little heated."
"One could say that."
"It's just, you don't know-"
"Please don't apologize and then proceed to gaslight me, Spencer."
Spencer pressed his lips together. He didn't even realize he was about to completely undo the apology he just made. "You're right. I am sorry though. I shouldn't have spoke to you the way I did."
"I just want you safe.."
"I know. At the time I was reacting with my heart not my head and it isn't how it should have gone down. Forgive me?"
Juliet offered a small smile to Spencer and said, "Of course."
Spencer reached out and wrapped his arms around Juliet squeezing her tight. And she did the same. As they hugged, the doors to the school opened and Simone and Jordan made their entrance. Spencer looked their way and shook his head. "What?" Juliet questioned. "They're a nightmare." He replied.
"How's so?"
"They've been keeping me up at night yelling at each other fighting."
"Why don't you just tell her to go home?" Juliet laughed.
"Because it's her home too. She's living with us now."
Juliet was shocked at what she just heard. Did Mr. and Mrs. Baker really allow for Jordan's pregnant- whatever she was, to move in? "I see." Was all she could get out.
"I didn't mean to up-"
"No, you're good. I need to get going to class though. I'll catch you later?"
"Yeah, sounds good." Spencer told her as she closed her locker and quickly made her way down the hall.
After Jordan and Simone went their separate ways, Spencer made his way over to Jordan. "You free after school today?" He asked him. "No, but I'll do anything to get away from the house." Jordan quickly replied.
"You good?"
"Great. So what can I do for ya?"
"What do you say to throwing some passes and running some plays before the Jamboree coming up this weekend?"
"I say sign me up. You okay with me letting Ash and JJ know?"
"The more the merrier."
"Alright."
