As Juliet was in the kitchen skinning tomatoes for dinner that night, she heard her phone going off from the counter beside her. When she looked down she saw Jordan's name on her screen. She wiped her hands clean on the towel and answered the phone as she put it up to her ear. "Hello?" She said. "Hey, I'm in your drive. Are you home?" He asked.
"Oh, yeah. Come on in. I'm in the kitchen."
"Thanks." He told her and hung up the phone.
"Jordan will be walking in in a sec." Juliet told Kimberly who was sitting at the island. "Is this my que to leave?" She asked.
"Only if you want to."
Kimberly looked at Juliet then looked around. "Hmmm." She smiled standing up and walked towards the stairs to her sewing room. As she did, the front door opened and Jordan made his way inside. "Lovely to see you Jordan." Kimberly smiled. "Same to you, Mrs. Banks." He replied. "Will you be at the big game this weekend?"
"Oh honey, you know me. My husband wouldn't let me miss it for the world."
Jordan looked at her letting out a laugh and headed for the kitchen. "Hey." He said to Juliet when he saw her. "Hey." She replied. "Everything alright?"
"Yeah, why do you ask?"
"I can't really tell you that last time it was that you randomly came over just to come over."
"It has been awhile, hasn't it?"
Juliet looked at him and saw the bruising on his cheek bone from Kyle. "How are things with Simone?" She asked and went back to peeling tomatoes.
"Any and all wedding plan are off. So there's that."
"Not like that matters. I mean, you're already married."
"Did you tell Kyle about Vegas?" Jordan asked nervously.
"I did. I told him the day I got home."
"So he's known all this time and didn't say anything?"
"I asked him not to."
"And he respected that? Man, if it were me-"
"Of course he did." Juliet said cutting him off as she held his eyes. Jordan dropped his head. It wasn't until then that he realized just how mature Kyle truly was. How dedicated to Juliet he was. How much he wished that he could be that for her.
"Jordan, can I ask you a question."
He looked up at her and said, "Of course."
"Do you love Simone?"
He shrugged his shoulders as he shook his head. "I don't know. I thought I did but.. you were right."
"About what?"
"A lot. If you would have said I love you back in Vegas I never would have married her. Jules.. you and I were so close to working things out.. if she never would have lied about the baby-"
"Yeah.. I know."
"I regret sleeping with her. I regret a lot of things. Most of which being how I treated you. But sleeping with her is pretty high on the list."
"Doesn't really make sense then that you married her?"
"You told me you loved Kyle."
"You had plans of marrying her before I told you that."
"I just knew.. I knew you loved him and I guess I wanted to move on and was hopeful marrying her would help."
"Surely you love her some?"
