As Juliet made her way down the hallway to her locker she saw Asher standing talking to Vanessa as she wiped her hand down his chest. Their eyes locked and he looked to Vanessa then back to her. She raised her eye brows at him and turned the corner and he quickly followed behind her.
"So what is this? You and Liv break up and now you're chasing Vanessa?" She laughed as she heard him closing in behind her as she grabbed her school books. "No." He sighed. "It's not what it looks like."
"It's exactly what it looks like."
"I didn't cheat on Liv with her."
"I didn't say you did. I said you and Liv-"
"I know know. Jules, I get it if you're still pissed I brought you into the drama but I-."
"Oh, no. I love that my ex boyfriends girlfriend glares at me anytime she seems me."
"I didn't mean for it to happen."
"I'm sure."
"Look, I'm sorry, okay? I was just put on the spot and didn't know what to do."
"So you deflect and turn it to look like some love triangle between Jordan, Simone, and me?"
"No? How is there a love triangle when you-"
"There isn't." She snapped.
"Right? Uhm, what's this really about now?"
"You and Vanessa?"
"Really? Because it doesn't really feel like it anymore."
Juliet didn't realize the hole that she dug herself with being defensive when it came to Jordan and Simone. But luckily for her she was saved by the bell. "I have to go." She told Asher and slammed her locker shut and headed for class. As she did she passed by Jordan who was smiling at her but she avoided eye contact.
"What was that?" Asher asked as Jordan walked up to him. "What was what?" He replied.
"You two were just chill at the cabin and now she's ignoring you?"
"Yeah, I don't know what that's about."
"I mentioned a love triangle between the two of you and Simone and she started acting weird."
"A love triangle? Why? What did she tell you?" Jordan asked with wide eyes.
"Uhm, nothing?"
"I gotta go." He told Asher and then quickly took off down the hallway following after Juliet.
"You were just going the other way!" Asher called out.
Jordan made his way down the hall, running after Juliet. As he did Principal Landon walked out of his office. "Mr. Baker, why are you running in my hallway?"
"Oh, I was trying to catch up with Juliet."
"Miss. Banks is on her way to class, as should you be. I don't think your Spanish class is down that hallway."
"Right, I was trying to catch up with Juliet not get to Spanish."
"Maybe you should, hmm? Because by my watch in thirty seconds you're going to be counted as tardy."
Jordan looked down the hallway to see Juliet looking their way. When their eyes locked she disappeared into the classroom. He let out a sigh and nodded his head, turning on his heal for Spanish class.
All morning Jordan sat paranoid, wondering what Asher knew, knowing it was because Juliet told him. His knees bounced as his pencil tapped on top of his desk. Driving his fellow classmates nuts. When the bell rang for lunch, he b-lined it for the quad hoping to catch Juliet before it got too packed. When he scanned the courtyard, he saw her sitting under the same tree she had many times before reading.
