The quad of Bringston University was loud and full of students. There was music playing and food trucks all around. "Wow. I bet Princeton isn't doing all this for their homecoming." Spencer said turning towards Simone. "Princeton who?" She replied. "Exactly. Look, if they too wack to accept you, forget them." Spencer smiled at her.

"You're thinking about Princeton?" Kyle asked.

"I was, but I don't think I'm going to get in." Simone replied. "Look, guys, I thought the whole point of this trip was to help cheer me up and take my mind off that school."

"Well, yeah, and to scope out the HBCU experience." Olivia added.

"You're the only one with HBCUs on your list, Liv." Jordan rolled his eyes. "Well, at least she has a list. I ain't got nada." Simone sighed. "If it helps, I don't even know why I'm here." Juliet chimed in.

"Sure you don't."

"Alright, okay. Stop the college talk. This weekend is about visiting your aunt and having some G.A.F."
Jordan said.

"Some what?" Juliet asked.

"Grown-ass fun? Come on, guys."

Spencer looked towards the stage to see Who was performing. "Hold up. Hold up." He exclaimed. "Is that really Cordae on the stage?"

Simone looked around and a smile came over her face."Alright, y'all. Welcome to Bringston University. It's time to turn up."

"Hi, auntie." Simone called out to her aunt as they walked into the lecture hall. "Oh, my baby girl!" Amara smiled as she wrapped Simone in I hug. "I can't believe you're really here!" The two let go and Amara looked to the five that were standing next to them. "Now I know Olivia. So you must be Juliet." She smiled at her.

"Yes ma'am." Juliet replied.

"You're standing next to Juliet so you must be Kyle."

"You're good." He smiled.

Next she looked to Spencer who was next to Olivia and said, "Spencer?"

"Right again." He replied.

"So that makes you my nephew-in-law." She laughed looking at Jordan.

"Something like that." He awkwardly smiled. "Uh, by the way, thank you so much for letting us stay this weekend, Ms. Patterson."

"Dear God. Call me Amara. I am not that old. You guys came on the perfect weekend, it's homecoming!"

"Yeah, y'all seem to take that real serious out here."
Spencer chuckled.

"Oh, honey, you have no idea." Tamara looked to her right where a student of hers was standing. "Keisha here has offered to be your unofficial ambassador for the weekend. So leave your bags with me. Have some fun. I'll catch you later."

"Wait. Are you sure?" Simone asked.

"Girl, don't ask twice." Keisha laughed.

As the girls walked with along Keisha, the guys trialed behind stopping to look at everything in site. There were so many people there, that if they didn't keep up they were going to get lost.

"You made it just in time for the best part of homecoming." Keisha told them as they all looked around. "What's that?"Olivia asked.

"Tonight's fashion show, choreographed by moi."

"Oh. So you're a journalism major/choreographer?" Simone asked her.

"Premed, actually, and proud captain of the undefeated Bringston dance squad. What are you thinking about applying here for?"
