This chapter is setting things up for some juicy drama😬
"Big day tomorrow!" JJ shouted as he ran down the hallway Thursday afternoon. "We are about to kick Westlakes ass!" Juliet turned and looked to Olivia. "West lake? Isn't that?" "Danes school." She said. "Yeah. Jordan was going on and on last night about how he couldn't wait for the game.
"That explains it."
"Explains whats?"
"Uh- nothing. Was he cleared?"
"Yep, as of yesterday."
"Uhh- where is he?"
"Knowing him, probably lunch." Juliet shut her locker and took off for the quad where she knew Jordan was more than likely sitting. "Where are you going?" Olivia called out.
"I just need to talk to Jordan is all."
When Juliet got to the quad she saw Jordan and Simone sitting at a table eating. Typically she would avoid Jordan when he was with Simone, but that time she didn't care. She walked over to them, looked at Jordan and said, "Hey, can I talk to you for a sec?"
They both looked up at her and Jordan immediately stood to his feet without hesitation. "Where are you going?" Simone snapped. "To talk to Jules." He replied."What, you can't talk to her right here?"
"Oh, I don't-"
"He's eating right now." Simone cut him off looking to Juliet.
"Simone chill, it's okay. I'm pretty much done. I'll be back in a few, okay?"
Simone glared at the two of them so Juliet started to walk away before Jordan was even next to her. She lead the way to the hallway outside of the locker room hoping to get some privacy. "How did you pass your concussion test." She asked as they rounded the corner. "Because I'm fine."
"Jordan."
"What?"
"There's no way! How did you pass it."
"Why does it matter?"
"It matters because you are putting yourself in harms way just to play against your girlfriends ex."
"He's not her ex."
"I don't care what he is. You're not physically ready Jordan, and you know that."
"I'll be fine, okay?"
"No, it's not okay. Are you crazy?"
"It's my senior homecoming, Jules. I want to play."
"And if you get hurt? It could ruin your future."
Jordan placed his hands on Juliet's shoulders. He looked her in the eyes and said, "Just trust me, okay?"
"I wish you wouldn't." She replied.
Off in the distance Simone was watching them. The pit of jealousy burned in the her stomach as she watched Jordan with Juliet.
______
As Beverly was warming up, Juliet walked onto the field and saw Jordan as he was throwing the ball back and forth with JJ. She let out a heavy sigh as their eyes locked and he pressed his lips. He knew she didn't approve but there was nothing in the world that was going to keep him from playing his senior homecoming game, especially since it was against Westlake.
As she stood with her eyes locked on Jordan someone walked up behind her and Jordan's eyes shifted to them. When she turned around she saw Dane standing behind her. "And here I thought he was still with Simone." He laughed. "He is." Juliet told him and she turned back around.
