Juliet put the best fake smile on her face that she had to offer. She turned to face Kyle and said, "I see you made it." He let out a laugh and said, "Are you kidding me? After you and Spencer left last night, all Madison could talk about was how wild your parties are. Thought I'd see for myself."
"Well the bar is open, help yourself."
"Don't mind if I do."
As he walked away he held her eyes. She couldn't help but feel like he was looking right into her soul which made her entire body freeze in its place.
When Kyle walked up to the keg he saw Jordan as he filled up his cup. He put his hand on Jordan's shoulder and said, "Hey, QB1." with a smile. He was shocked to see Kyle in Juliets house. "Kyle, hey?" He replied with wide eyes.
"Don't look so surprised to see me."
"Shit yeah sorry, you know Jules, I totally forgot. Well ah- welcome! Hope you're ready for a great night, Juliet knows how to party."
"Yeah, so I've heard!" He let out a laugh.
"Aye yo, Kyle!" Spencer shouted from the beer pong table. "Be my partner man." He was going to keep his word on the promise he made Juliet. Kyle and Jordan wouldn't spend a single second alone together.
"Sure!" Kyle hollered back and looked towards Jordan and said, "I'll catch you later, man." And walked away.
While Jordan was mingling with Kyle downstairs, Juliet grabbed onto her cousins arm and pulled her up to her room so they could talk in private. "What the hell is your problem?" Madison asked Juliet as she turned and looked at her. She saw the frustration all over her face. "Why did you bring him?" Juliet snapped.
"Because we were invited? What's the big deal?"
"Seriously? You really think I want Kyle here?"
"You hooked up with him once, Jules. He's cool with it? Why can't you be?"
"Right.. I mean sorry I don't want someone I hooked up with around my boyfriend."
"Well excuse me? How was I suppose to know you have a boyfriend? Your social media is dry as hell and you don't talk to me." Madison let out a deep sigh "Jules, we used to be so close. But after this summer you pushed me away."
"I had to get my head straight."
"And that meant you had to exile me? That's great to know."
"No Madi, not just you.. I exiled a lot of people okay. I- I'm sorry, I really am."
"Hey, did you know Kyle Underwood is down stairs playing beer pong with Spencer?" Jordan asked as he walked into Juliet's room. "He's with me." Madison said as she turned around and looked at Jordan. A smile came over her face. "Well, he came with me but he's not with me. How you doing Jordan Baker?"
Madison has always had a crush on Jordan growing up. She never had a problem hiding it either and eventually her flirting with him became a joke between the two.
"Hey, Madison." He laughed.
Madison walked over to Jordan and wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug. "Oh how I've missed those shoulders of yours." When they pulled away she looked up at him and said, "So what have you been doing besides breaking girls hearts?"
"Actually, I haven't broken any." He laughed then looked at Juliet. Madison's chin dropped all the way to the floor as she looked between the two.
"Shut the hell up! You two finally got together?" She squealed.
"You didn't tell her?" Jordan asked Juliet.
"She sure didn't! But I'm glad I'm finding out in person rather than a text! This deserves a toast!" She headed for the door then turned back at the couple and said, "Come on you two!"
