"You're really okay with me staying, Chan? It'll be my first time meeting your bandmates..." Chan just rolled his eyes before grabbing your hand with his right hand and opening the door with his left, pulling you inside the room with him. Seven pairs of eyes turned to the two of you as you walked in and your first instinct was to hide behind your "boyfriend," but you willed your feet to stay where they were. Your hands were becoming clammy and you immediately took the one that was grasped in Chan's hand out and discreetly rubbed it on the back of your jeans, though you weren't as discreet as you thought.

"Nervous?" One of Chan's members, Hyunjin, asked you. You nodded. "There's no need to be. What's your name?" Your heartbeat calmed down a little at his gentle tone. You took a deep breath before answering him.

"I'm Y/n. It's nice to meet you all. I hope we can be good friends. Or not. You know I'm not like trying to force you to be my friend. You can do whatever you want. Hate me, I don't care. Well, I do care if you hate me because like you're Chan's friends and that would be terrible if you hated me and now I'm rambling again aren't I," you trailed off with your last words, looking down at your feet in embarrassment.

"Cute." You felt your cheeks heat up at the words. Was that Chan? It didn't sound like him though.

"So, Channie-hyung. Is this your girlfriend? She's really pretty." You lifted your head at the sweet words, opening your mouth to thank Felix, the one who said them, but you were cut off before you could say anything.

"No, she's just a friend." You clamped your mouth shut and looked at your "boyfriend" in shock. Just a friend? But what about yesterday? You leaned in closer to whisper in his ear.

"What do you mean? What about yesterday? You told me you liked me back, you asked me to be your–" For the second time in less than a minute, you were interrupted in the middle of your sentence.

"We're just friends." He wasn't even looking at you as he said the words and you felt invisible. Like you didn't matter to him and now you realize, you probably never did. Even yesterday, when you confessed your feelings to him and he accepted them, he seemed insincere, like he was just saying it for you. Your heart felt like it was being stamped on a thousand times over as you looked at the boy who was causing you pain.

A hand on your shoulder brought you back to the present. You turned to the owner of the hand, finding Hyunjin standing beside you. When did he get over here?

"If... if you guys aren't dating then can I take you out on a date? Only if you want to of course! It's just, like Lix said, you're really pretty, and if you're a friend of Channie-hyung then you must be a nice person. So, are you up for it." Cute. He's cute.

"Sure. Why not?"

"Y/n!" You had forgotten that Chan was even there. Or so you told yourself. It's not like Chan was the reason that you said yes in the first place, wanting him to feel at least a little bit of the pain that you're feeling right now. You turned to face him, your expression unreadable.

"What, Chan?" You closed your eyes before opening them, the fakest smile painted across your face. "We're just friends."
