Three Hours Earlier

Snowy raised her hand, setting her pencil down, finishing her homework early. She asked for a drink and walked out of the room. Right as she went to press the button for the water she noticed something in the corner of her eye. A blue blur that she couldn't distinguish. She turned to look and saw the kid she had seen at lunch 45 minutes earlier. He looked around for a minute and took out a screwdriver looking item and held it up to the staff room door and ran inside forgetting to close it behind him. She took a quick drink and ran in after him. She stopped in front of the door and looked around the steamy room. It smelled of mold and like something had died there. Pipes ran along the walls and a small layer of water covered the floor.

"What the... what is this place?" She took a step forward and instantly felt the water pour into her shoe. She shook it off and continued walking looking for the strange kid.

"Hello? Is anyone here?" She called. She felt cold and a bit scared, as she waltzed through the room. The room turned to a hallway, still covered in pipes but a weird blue glow reflected on the water. Snowy ran down the hall, water splashing under her feet each step she took.

"Someone really needs to clean up this water." She said, looking at her feet. Just a split second later she collided with something metallic and she collapsed to the floor, soaking her pants.

"Aww, come o- Woh..." A large chrome sphere towered in front of her gleaming brightly out of the odd hexagonal shapes that extruded from the side. A slight hum came from the odd machine as it hovered over the wet concrete floor. She stood up and wiped off her pants.

"What is this thing?" She noticed an indent in the door and she pulled on it, opening up the door slightly.

"What in the world is this? I've never seen anything like this anywhere in Sunset." She held onto the handle, ready for anything. Suddenly she heard a splash behind her and footsteps. Snowy panicked and bolted right into the orb slamming the door behind her. She opened her eyes to an amazing sight. She had stepped into a room larger than the orb itself. The room around her had blue-green painted walls and a huge round console in the center of the room. Lights blinked in front of her, almost blinding her. She stood in front of the door in silence, admiring the room. The door behind her slammed into her back pushing her to the side blasting wind in her face. She quickly ran over to a dark corner of the room and hunched there. The kid she saw earlier ran in and slammed the door behind him, not noticing her crouched in the corner of the room.

"This town is mental! He yelled to himself. His blond hair partly covered his face as he turned and jogged to the console. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt, a weird golden watch and his bright blue eyes which drifted around the room. Snowy sat still for longer than she had hoped, causing her leg to fall asleep. The kid pulled a lever and the room gave a loud screechy whine. The center of the room began to fill with smoke as the machine shuddered under them.

"Oh come on! Just take off why don't ya!!" He smacked the console in frustration. The room whined again and the smoke stopped coming out.

"Not now ugh... Just-Just Move!!" He slammed his hand on a lever and it flew off the console and smashed to the floor. The room started to shake and she flopped onto her side. The whining noise continued and shook the room more and more, before stopping abruptly. She smashed her head on the floor in an attempt to straighten herself and rubbed her head in pain. He looked at the broken lever on the floor and cussed to himself.

"Why don't you ever work just for once!?" He picked it up and chucked it across the room, took a deep breath, and sat down in a nearby chair. Snowy moved along the wall, her head still throbbing. She stood behind a staircase and glared at him as he looked into the distance like nothing was happening. A bright light emerged through the front windows blinding her and brightening up the room.

"We are leaving the atmosphere! If you would like to introduce yourself feel free to do so. When you're ready." She quickly looked at him in confusion and instantly noticed he was looking in her direction. They locked eyes.

"Yes I can see you." He smiled and held out his hand. Snowy peered out from behind the stairs and scratched her head blushing embarrassedly. He set his hand on his hip keeping his grin.

"I... was just exploring and I found this? I-this isn't a very good excuse now, is it?" He shook his head and laughed.

"You have no idea how many times I've heard that in my life." She looked at him and laughed oddly.

"What brings you into the Carbonizor?" She stayed silent for a moment and slightly walked towards him a little.

"I uhh... well... I saw you walk into the storage room and I was curious." He pulled out the weird glowing thing and flipped it into the air.

"You saw this didn't you?" He asked, looking at her. She nodded and slightly started towards the door.

"I'll just leave..." Grasping the odd futuristic handle she looked back to him and pushed it open.

"Wait STOP!" His face changed quickly and he ran over to her. The next thing she knew was she was falling and falling. She watched the ship disappear as she fell. Snowy didn't know whether to scream or just let her fate happen. Then she heard a scream in the distance. The scream got louder and she realized it was coming from her. An instant wave of panic hit her like a train as she fell slowly approaching the ground. The village became more visible the more she fell. Her whole life flashed in front of her as her heart raced and her stomach flipped. The thought of her dying at any second smashed her apart and she stopped screaming and closed her eyes, opening her arms, ready to hit the ground. She felt herself falling as the wind went through her hair.

'This is it... I'm never going to see Steve again. He can't live without me...' She thought. She opened her eyes and screamed again.

"I'm sorry Steve!!!" She screamed and she blacked out before she hit the ground.
