Snowy pushed open the burnt wooden door which screeched like nails on a chalkboard . The hallway was covered in peeling wallpaper, remnants of furniture and chunks of burnt carpet. The ceiling was slightly slanted with the lights melted off of it and a brunt mark was strewn across another wall showing the direction the fire had traveled. Even parts of the walls and ceiling were missing showing glimpses into the other wrecked rooms. Steve ran through the hall and stopped in front of the burnt torn up stairs. The carpet was missing completely, water damage from the intense rain and mold crawled up the railing. Steve didn't know how to get up without touching the railing.

"Snowy! I want to get to my room." Snowy slowly walked down the hall to him dragging her finger on the rugged wall. She stopped beside him. Her foot touched the bottom step and she put all pressure on it. It creaked under her foot but held up. She took another couple steps up and signaled him up. He slowly followed her and they both headed down the hallway towards their rooms. More peeling wallpaper and furniture Steve opened his door to a view of the burning town and of the destroyed kitchen. He backed up and slammed the door shut breathing heavily. Snowy peaked around the corner seeing Steve on the floor in shock.

"Are you alright?" She asked him. Steve looked at her and bolted over to her in a panic.

"I don't wanna die!" He yelled, hugging her. She rubbed his back to comfort him. They headed to Snowy's room which was oddly untouched. Snowy walked in and sat on her bed letting Steve sit on her large window sill. The wind blew into the room through the open doors, chilling the room.

"I'll start the fireplace and we can read a book or two, alright?" Steve nodded, still staring out the window towards the town. He remembered the sweet smelling air and beautiful trees blowing in the wind. Kids playing in the grass outside of their house Steve and Snowy both enjoying the sunny day with them playing games of Tag and Red light Green light. Once the Sun fell behind the mountains in the distance they all played a nice game of ManHunt in the cool summer air. The moon is always moving slowly through the sky casting light through the trees like the sun in the daytime. The kids went home after a while saying their goodbyes and Snowy headed inside for dinner. Steve followed soon after enjoying a meal with his sister and mother while falling asleep on the couch a few minutes after. Their mother always finished the dishes and sat next to the fireplace in the living room reading their favorite book named "The Adventures Of Piglin". They loved the adventures the little pig went on Everytime the book was brought up in school or even at home Snowy and Steve both jumped for joy. Thinking about the book gave Steve a warm comforting feeling in his body. He turned to Snowy who had just finished lighting the fire.

"Can we read the adventures of Piglin?" Snowy turned to him suddenly and her face lit up. She headed to her bookshelf and pulled a dusty book off the middle shelf. Steve headed over to the fireplace and sat on the purple carpet. Snowy blew the dust off the book and sat next to her brother. She opened the book and began to read.

"Once upon a time a little pig by the name of Piglin discovered the outside world from his little secluded rustic town. He wanted to escape the dark reaches of his dying home and run through the flower fields. But his job as prince would not let him do as he pleased and his parents didn't approve. No matter how many times he tried he couldn't escape his home until one day. A large shipment of food was brought into the village and he grabbed his opportunity." Steve slowly began to doze off. Snowy slowly put her hand through his hair and continued.

"Piglin took a bag of that food with clothes and a kit full of bandages to head off in the container. He managed to get past the guards and he hid in the shipment crate. Slowly he began to sleep putting his backpack under his head. A couple days later he jumped out of the crate and landed his piggy feet on the warm summer grass in the middle of nowhere. Piglin began his journey and headed across the fields of Burgundy, through the Forests of Pine, and over the extreme desserts of Heat. He finally stopped in front of a village and fell asleep. The king found out Piglin was missing and was enraged. The king forced all of his citizens out of the castle to fin-" Steve began to snore loudly. Snowy set the book down and sighed pulling a blanket over both of them. The sound of wind took over the silence of the room slowly putting her to sleep.
