Chapter 17.

The security had been doubled in and out the mansion.
Several guards patrolled inside, raiding the rooms whereas the others stood guarding outside while some were on standby at the bases waiting for the order.

Simon was in the control room with Butler Lee after locking Winter in the hidden room. Checking every little detail on the cctv cameras, hoping to find a clue on the intruder; Simon was a bundle of nerves.

It had been past ten minutes when Butler Lee's eyes caught something.

"Zoom in 3FC10."
"There!" He pointed his fingers.

Richard zoomed in on the screen. A dark figure could be seen fully clothed in black and had a mask on. They could identify that it was a male because of his long stature and short hair from the side.

"Notify the guards on the second floor. Now!" Simon ordered.

What they then noticed in the video the next second didn't take them to realise who he was.
The culprit in the video slowly turned around as if knowing he was being watched. Raising his left hand in the air, he waved his slender fingers clearly indicating that he was mocking at them.

The footage had blurred for a few seconds and came back but he was already gone by then. All the cctvs then stopped working because someone had hacked into and sabotaged it.

They couldn't monitor his movements anymore but there was one thing they were sure of.

That Theodore Belardus was already inside the mansion.

"That piece of s**t."
Simon smashed the keyboards in front of him and crashed them down in an instant.

Simon was all red.
He couldn't think straight. How that criminal was able to break in, he would never know. But he was definitely going to hunt him down now that Belardus was in his territory. He had the upper hand right now.

Striding out furiously, Simon roared for the last time again "Kill him on the spot if you need to.....and anyone who brings me his head will be rewarded handsomely."

Simon ran to his room to get his gun. He didn't have any time to waste, he couldn't.
With it, he rushed upstairs.
He knew exactly where Belardus was headed to.

"Young Master!" Butler Lee called from behind Simon.
"All the guards are down on that floor. We have to be careful. We don't really know how many of them have infiltrated the mansion or how dangerously armed he is."
"Young Master...if you just wait a minute, more securities are coming up soon."

Simon wasn't listening and continued walking.

"Young Master, it's dangerous out there."

Simon refused to wait any longer. He didn't care. All he could think about was Winter disappearing again. He had to stop that from happening.

Butler Lee sighed. Shaking his head, he quickly trailed after him.
"He never listens."
