"Bad person" muttered Winter under her breath.

"What's that?"

"Winter let's get you some rest first, okay?" Simon cut in. He didn't like the idea of Winter getting to learn about all this anymore. He tried to send her away to her room.

However, Winter refused to budge. She stepped away from his hold.
She looked at him determinedly "I have to know the truth today."

"Winter..." Simon begged.

He desperately wanted to go back to the old carefree days with her.
Away from all this drama.
How he wished he had never left her alone that day. She wouldn't have disappeared and none of this would have had happened.

"Well, I have to thank my lucky stars that night for sending his Majesty and Simon to save me." Dragon continued thinking about how he got away without a fight. "They arrived at the scene five minutes before the police arrived. I'm sure they had their own little business going on but our movements must have alarmed them to investigate what was going on. We just happened to be in the same vicinity coincidentally." Dragon laughed. "I tell you it was Fate."

Winter turned to Simon.

"We had to check if we were being spied on." Simon interrupted when he saw Dominic was about to say something again. "We couldn't take the risk of being caught."

Simon heaved a sigh.
"When we reached the scene, we saw that a masked man was already down. We didn't have time to react because of the sirens. Father had to act quick. So in a haste, he helped Dragon cover the affair. We had no other option Winter."

"I don't understand Simon..."

"Young Master? His Royal Majesty is on the line."
Butler Lee announced from the corner. "I'm afraid it needs to be attended right now."

Simon grabbed Winter's hand.
"Come with me."

"I'm staying here."
Winter needed to know more from Dragon.

"Winter?" Simon was agitated.

"Young Master?" Butler Lee called again.

"Go!" Winter rushed Simon. She stared at his retreating back leave in a begrudging manner.

"You know sweetheart...you are a dangerous one."

"What do you mean?" Winter asked befuddled at his words.

"Maybe the modern Helen of Troy?" He mused himself with such thoughts.

"I don't get you."

"Come on. Don't be naive. We both know what's happening here."

"Yes?"

"I have to admit, I am responsible for pulling the Royals into this situation... but don't you think it's unfair that I take the blame alone? Am I right? After all, Dominic's not alone. He's coming with the devil who's waiting to crush Simon and I think we both know the reason why. Last time I heard, Belardus was here. Wasn't he?" Dragon asked laughing.

"He's coming for you and he's desperate. You and I know Simon is never going to back down too. There is no stopping this war. Dominic and I? We are just pawns to them. Hahaha....Even if I step in and help Simon because I owe the Royals one doesn't mean it will stop anybody from getting hurt. We have two of the most villainous men ready for a battle and because of who?"

Dragon stared deep into her soul as he spoke "You."

Winter was too stunned to say anything. She trembled whilst taking two heavy steps back.

"Me..." she whispered. She regretted why she stayed behind without Simon. All of this was happening because of her. That's right.
Simon had been ever restless since her return and she knew in her heart the reason of his anxieties. The secret calls and meetings behind her all made sense. Of course she had been having her doubts but she chose to ignore it. She just hoped it wasn't true. Her worst fear did happen.

Winter shut her heart for Theodore no matter how painful it was. She blamed herself everyday for hurting him and thinking about if he was okay. It wasn't easy for her to decide but she somehow knew he would go on without her. Simon on the other hand needed her more so she pushed forced her feelings aside for Theodore, promising herself that this would be the last time she hurt someone. If loving Simon unconditionally would make her forget Theodore then so be it, she thought.

However with Theodore's uninvited appearance recently, she had been having a tough time. Just when she thought he was fading away from her heart, he appeared again.

A complicated relationship she was in. She couldn't stop loving either. They had become important parts in her life.

Thinking Theodore would have forgotten her by now, she had made amends with that fact but all this while, they were fighting behind her back. They were hurting each other and she didn't have a clue about it. She despised herself for not realising it sooner.

'Why must this happen? Not for me. I'm nobody. I'm not worth it.' She argued.

This had to end.

"I..I know Theo. He wouldn't be with someone like Dominic."

"Oh. He wouldn't yes." Dragon chuckled.

"Theo knows I can't go back. He would never do this."

"So much faith you have in him."

"I can talk to Theo. He'll listen.."

"Listen? Winter, my dear Winter....he does what he wants. He doesn't listen. He won't especially when you're the one at stakes. Should I say you have a very fortunate luck?....or rather unfortunate for meeting these two in this life."

"What can I do to stop this? Please..."

"Trust me. What is bound to happen will happen. You can't do anything about it. Tsk. I pity you. You will have no say over this because they've already decided. The winner gets you. They've branded you as theirs alone."

Dragon drew close to her and stroke her hair. "A storm is brewing."

He leaned in her ear and whispered something.
Winter couldn't believe it.

He genuinely smiled down at her with sympathetic eyes and turned to leave.
"Good luck sweetheart..."

"Let's meet again if I don't get killed by Dominic..." his voice diminished as he exited the room.
