Simon seemed to find the room eerily quiet.
He would cast a glance at Winter every now and then like a little kid who was afraid because of being caught lying.

The silence was heavy.

Simon felt as though she was away from him. She was so near yet so far.

Looking at Winter's soulless-hunched form, he knew he had to come clean. She was tired and he could see it.
But, he didn't know where to start. Insecurities started to creep in and the more he watched her, the more hurt he was seeing that the warmth she once exuded only remained cold and indifferent to her surroundings, especially him.
Was this it? He thought.

"Tell me everything." Winter broke the silence finally. "I deserve to know."
Her face was determined to find out the truth as she demanded an answer out of him.

Simon gulped.
He tried facing her only to fail as soon as his gaze met her innocent ones.
"I'm not perfect. You already know."
He licked his dry lips before continuing, "Winter I..."
Simon stopped. He was unable to utter no more.

Seeing him troubled, Winter scooted closer to his side and held his hand in hers.

"What are you hiding? Hmm? Why won't you tell me what has been going on behind my back?"
"I overheard your conversation with Butler Lee today."

Simon's face stiffened.
"You will hate me if you learn about what I did, Winter. I don't want that."

"Simon..."
"You don't know if I will unless you tell me. Don't you even trust me? Have I not always been understanding and patient with you?"
Winter said frustratedly.

"You have!"

"Then what is the problem...why won't you tell me?"

Simon shook his head and sighed.
"My father...Winter. He was not just a commoner when he married into the Royals."
"You can say that he was part of an organisation that did bad things."
He paused to search her face for any signs of fear and disgust.

"But he never once went back to that life after he married my mother." He was quick to defend his father. "However, that night.."

Simon was finally able to muster all the courage he could and talk about the incident that occurred six years ago. He did so with great difficulty.

"Trust me Winter. We didn't mean for any of it to happen. Things escalated so quickly that we had no time to act."
"Everything was just going smoothly and we were about to end it when..."

KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Not now Butler Lee."

"We have a guest, Young Master. It's Dragon."

Simon didn't want Winter to engage in any further problems of his, so he wanted to lead Dragon away as soon as he could. He rose from his seat but Winter quickly tried to hold him down and refused to let him go.

"No Simon. You're not leaving until you tell me."

"Lets talk about it later."

"Now! I still have so many questions to ask and..and... "

"I'll answer your questions."
Came a charismatic voice from the door making both heads turn to the source.
