A/N: Trying so hard to finish the book but my busy schedules won't let me....I'm so sorry😭enjoy the chap though!

"There's no way you're getting out alive today Belardus."
Simon said ready to pull the trigger.

Winter shook her head in fear, "Simon put the gun down, we can..."

"One more word!" Simon shouted furiously. "I hear one more word from you Winter, defending him...I will not hesitate to shoot him."

Winter was scared. It was terrifying for her to see what was happening in front of her. The two person whom she treasured and cared for the most were at each others throat. She wept helplessly.
Seeing her in that emotional state made Simon weak on his knees but he was resolute in his actions and refused to back down.

"Shoot me if you dare Abbadon." Theodore provoked Simon. He knew that as long as Winter was present, Simon wouldn't dare pulling such a draconian act.

"Don't test me."

"You can kill me right now, its your only chance."

Simon's grip on the gun tightened even more.

"However.." Theodore continued.
"Let me tell you one thing. My men has a bomb set at your parent's mansion, I can let it blow up any time....even right now as we speak." Theodore gave an evil chuckle seeing the shocked expression of Simon.
"Monster?" Theodore called out.

"Yes, Theo."

"Are the preparations ready?"

"Yes."

"Did you hear that? Its ready. Great!" Theodore laughed.
"So your highness, what do you want to do? You can decide to kill me but your parents are also just as good as dead like me."

"Stop your bull sh*t. You're lying."

"Hahaha...shall we test if I'm lying or not?"
Theo turned to face Butler Lee and asked him, "His majesty has taken a holiday today to spend time with his lovely wife, didn't he?"

Butler Lee was perplexed. His Master's schedule was always classified to be a top secret. How on earth did he get the information. He gulped and nodded slightly at Simon to confirm that whatever Theo said was true.

"No! I don't believe you."

"Be my guest then. You can call and warn them of the danger but I'm afraid I'd blow them up before they can even vacate."

"Tell me that's not true." Winter asked Theodore weakly shoving him.

"Leave with me Winter. Lets go home."

"Answer me Theo."

"Winter..." Theo pleaded. "Everyone's eager for your return again. Maria...think about Maria, she misses you so much. She.."

"Shut up." Simon growled.

Theodore reminded Simon again if he didn't walk out alive, his parents would die too.

Simon was in a dilemma. He couldn't let his parents die and he couldn't let Winter leave him too. He lowered his gun down just a bit and gazed into Winter's eyes longingly "you're not leaving me again, are you Winter?"

Simon looked like he was about to give up hope. His disheveled hair and pale complexion made him look even more sympathetic and weak.

Winter wanted to go to him and comfort him. She stepped forward in his direction when Theodore grabbed her elbow and stopped her.
"Come back with me."

Winter's clear eyes pierced into Theo's green as she asked him again "I'm asking you for the last time. Is it true that you've placed a bomb at his Highness' mansion? You wouldn't right? You promised you wouldn't do bad things anymore Theo. Tell me."

Seeing Theodore choose to remain silent, she was left speechless.

Her hands that were clutched onto his jacket fell hopelessly to her sides again.
"I'm not going with you. You can leave alone."

"Winter..." Theo was about to get angry.

"Leave!"

That's right, she thought. He needed to leave for his safety.
Winter rushed into Simon's arms.

Theodore was baffled. His heart shattered to pieces seeing him run into another man's arms. However he knew deep down that her actions only meant well for him and with that in mind, he decided to leave quietly.

The guards turned to Butler Lee for orders to take action on the intruder leaving but Butler Lee shook his head.

Theodore Belardus had to leave unharmed for the Royals' safety. Especially for her.
