Five seasons have passed and Kala cherished those moments with her son. A few hours ago, it started to rain and they had to take shelter from the rain.

The rain stopped. The clouds let the sun sneak a peek at the jungle. The flowers bloomed in its presence. The light illuminated everything. Especially a certain mother, still sleeping.

She sighed and patted around. Her eyes snapped open and gasped. "Tarzan?" She looked around, frantically removing her nest. "Tarzan?!"

A little boy chuckled above her and trumpets like an elephant, scaring his mother. "I sure scared you, Mom. Whoah!" He lost his grip on the vine and fell on his mother's arm.

Kala lightly laughed, "You sure did. Can't you imitate any quieter animals?"

He climbed to her shoulder and grinned, "Oh, Mom, they're no fun. Wanna see me be a leopard?" He snarled, making her laugh again. "Why don't you just come up with your own sound?"

She brought him down. Tarzan ignored her, running away, making screeching and howling sounds passing a small family.

The baby gorillas imitated his sounds, jumping around. The mother frowned in irritation and turned to Kala, "Kala!"

Tarzan continued to yell, mindlessly running around. He didn't notice someone in front of him and bumped into them. That someone being Kerchak.

He paled, knowing that he made a mistake. "Oops."

Kerchak lightly growls at him, narrowing his eyes at him. Tarzan backs away slowly, not losing eye contact. "Hee-hee."

"Tarzan! thank goodness you're all right!" Terk swooped in, hugging Tarzan. "Kala and I have been so worried! Thank you. Thank you so much for finding him, Kerchak!" Terk loudly cried, pretendedly. "You are such a wise and caring leader."

Kerchak rolled his eyes and shook his head.

"Run." Terk whispered and bolted, dropping Tarzan.

"Ooh! Um–" Tarzan nervously grinned and ran after Terk. Terk ran enough to hide behind a tree and swooped Tarzan when he ran past her.

"Hello! Are you thick in the head?" she shook him.

"What?" he blinked.

"How many times do I have to tell ya? If you want Kerchak to like you, stay away from him!" she poked his head.

They both stopped when they heard Terk's friends calling her. "Come on, Terk! Step on it!" they laughed. "Last one there's a dung beetle!" they ran away.

"Yeah! And the first one's gotta eat it!" She shouted, laughing afterward. Tarzan grinned in excitement, "Terk, can I come?"

Terk grimaced, not knowing what to say and she needed to get to her friends at the moment. "Well, yeah, you could if you could keep up, but...you know you can't really keep up. Wait up, guys. Wait up! Right behind ya!" Terk ran to the others.
