(Note: N/N is nickname)
Y/N: ELLA! I'm-
Y/N's eyes shot open. He turned his head and recognized the wall to his left. An orange glow from outside brightened his bedroom, signaling the time as early evening. Then he noticed his arms: wrapped in bandages down to the fingertips. Too bad he couldn't feel them; pretty much numb. He groaned from the pain in his ribs when sitting up.
Y/N: Looks like we won....
Doctor Strange: And so he lives.
The Sorcerer Supreme walked to the bed with a glass of water for his now awake student.
Doctor Strange: How are you feeling?
Y/N grabbed the cup with his less bandaged arm and winced from the pain.
Y/N: Well, now you know. How's Ella? I-Is she okay?
Doctor Strange: Ella's fine, safe and sound. She's been crashing here since the escape. Hope that's okay with you.
Y/N gulped down the water to the last drop.
Y/N: Yeah, I-I'm cool with that. Least I could do after....I burnt her house down.
Doctor Strange: Honestly, she didn't seem torn up by it. I saw a few tears, but they didn't last long.
Y/N: But, she could've stayed there. It was her dad's house, meant for her!
Doctor Strange: Or maybe that place held a lot of bad memories, and she couldn't continue living in a home that was more like a prison. If anything, it's a way of her moving on.
Y/N: I, suppose you're right, Master Strange. So, now what?
Doctor Strange: Well, you and I need to talk.
Y/N shrunk back a bit, knowing what that tone meant.
Y/N: About me....running in.
Doctor Strange: You were lucky to come out alive. It's Christmas Eve all over again, Y/N, but that was child's play. You may be a "destined hero," but you're not invincible.
Y/N frowned and looked at his bandages. Granted, these came from loss of control, but it still made the point stand.
Doctor Strange: You're lucky I got Rapunzel here fast enough. Since she could only use so much of her power, those burn scars are still healing; took a lot just to get there. And because of that, Rapunzel's going to be, no pun intended, royally pissed. You scared her half to death.
Y/N: I-I didn't think that I'd-
Doctor Strange: That's right. You. Didn't. Think. Just threw caution to the wind! I know I told you, "Do what you need to do," but that's still reckless!
Y/N: ...........
Doctor Strange: Ella's been here night and day, changing your bandages and looking after you. I finally managed to convince her, after four days, to take a break.
Four days?! Ella did that, for me?
Doctor Strange: But again, you got lucky. Managed to pull off not one, but two master moves. Yen Sid will want to talk with you about that. I'm....proud of you, Y/N. You saved your friend. But, think before you act from now on. Who knows what's now at stake.
Y/N started to think about what was said. Master Strange....He's right. I shouldn't have ran in like that. I should know better! I let that bitch get to my head, and she had me right where she wanted.
He flexed his bandaged fingers. Guess I should consider these a warning from now on.
What's at stake now? What's he mean by that?
