∆Chapter∆ 25

Annie POV.
"I said compose yourself!"general Magath screamed in my face.
"How can I compose myself when you let them take her away!? You even had the nerve to stop me when I tried to go after them!" I was beyond pissed at this point.
"Please this isn't what we need right now."Pieck tried calming the situation down.
"Exactly, what we need right now is to go to that damn island and destroy every last bit of it!"Porco said angrily.
"Please..."we looked at Reiner.
"Just stop flighting."he said looking desperate. All of us let out a sigh.
"What now?"Porco said to Magath.
"We gather the rest of our forces and you three and we go Paradise."
"And then what?"he continued.
"We organise a surprise attack."
"It just sounds so simple when you say it like that."I said.
"Well I'm so sorry if you two think you have a better plan go ahead and tell us."He finally snapped, shutting both of us.
"I still can't belive Zeke-san would do something like this."Colt said braking the tension.
"Don't remind me of that bastard as well."Porco said.
"Just saying."Colt muttered.
"I think we can all agree sitting here and chit chatting isn't going to get us anywhere. The military isn't gonna mobilize itself on it's own."General said.
"Leonhard, help Braun compose himself. Pieck and Porco, you two are coming with me. Lastly, Colt go and help the Medical tents."General said.
"Yes sir!"Colt yelled before running off.
I crouched down next to Reiner who was sitting on the couch.
"You two come and wait at my office when you're done."
"Yes sir."I muttered.
He left and I started doing everything I can to help Reiner come back to his senses. He finally came around after half an hour. When I estimated that he was ready to go we went to general Magath's office. He came in after some time. He sat us down and started explaining what's gonna happen. I was going to be a part of the surprise attack alongside Pieck and Porco and if it failed, Reiner will fight with Eren. General asked if Reiner was okay and to our surprise he showed one of the most determent expressions I've ever seen, which genuinely made me smile. General left after that and I hit Reiner on the shoulder playfully.
"Now that's the Reiner I know." He smiled back.
"Annie... I'll be honest..."he begun.
"Ever since that day I've wanted nothing more than to avenge Bertholdt."
"Then... that's what we'll do."I said standing up. He looked at me surprised.
"We'll stop all this madness by destroying Eren. That will avenge Bertholdt and then...we can finally rest in piece."Reiner smiled.
"Let's finally be heroes."

After days of mobilization the remaining army was finally ready. We all knew our positions and rules so we were more then ready. All I could think about during that dreadful ride to the island was Mikasa. I was still worried sick about her. There was still that little voice that was telling me she was fine but I still couldn't help myself. We flew over the dock and were soon after met with the great wall Maria. The zeppelin landed there so Porco, Pieck and I could take our positions. We knocked out the guards, something I've missed doing but wouldn't admit it. We took all of they're stuff and went inside. Nothing much changed from when I was last here, tho the last time I saw the inside of the Shiganshina it was completely destroyed and taken by the titans. We sneaked around for a bit, trying to figure out if Eren was here or not. Finally Pieck saw some little group that looked suspicious and after a few minutes Eren with them. She told me and Porco the plan and we just nodded. She went to wait for a opportunity to get Eren to us while we ran to one of the gas towers. I remember these from back at Trost so I was quite familiar with the structure and where it was best to attack from. Porco was supposed to give me signals for when to transform so for now we were just waiting. Finally after whan seemed an eternity he signaled they're arrival. Pieck was handcuffed to Gabi? What the hell was she doing here, no better question was how did she get here. I decided to leave those questions for later and focus on my task right now. Eren and Pieck got on the to of the building. After a few minutes Porco gave me the signal and I transformed. I went for a quick kill just like he killed Willy but failed, as he was somehow able to move out of the way, loosing his legs in the process. He transformed which left the job to Reiner. My job now was to find Mikasa. My titan was pressed down onto the destroyed building so it was difficult to get out. Luckily Porco came to my rescue and we both ran off to try and find Mikasa. We couldn't wonder off to much since I had to return if Ymir comes. For now Pieck was the only one helping Reiner. The soldiers from the other zeppelins jumped down to fight the people. In the distance I could see Zeke. He screamed turning people into pure titan. Just how!? What the hell was even happening!? It was all too much at this point. One of the transformations knocked Porco out and he was picked up by one of the pure titans. I tried turning back to help him but wad stopped by a powerful force. The walls started grumbling down as the Collosal Titans broke out from them. My eyes widened. The Rumbling... This damn idiot started the Rumbling. I fell to my knees. Porco... Bertholdt... I'm so sorry, it's... It's over for us. There really was no more hope for us-
"Annie!" I snapped from my thoughts. I looked back and saw Mikasa running towards me. I immediately jumped up and ran towards her. She jumped for a hug and we stayed like that for a couple of seconds. I pulled away and took her face in my hands, kissing her. When we pulled away I felt tears starting to form in my eyes, telling her I was worried sick for her and she said the same thing. I said there was no time for this and she agreed taking my hand in hers and pulling me to the group of Scouts. She explained the new alliance that was formed between us the our past comrades. I just nodded knowing we had a common enemy now.

The final battle...was just beginning.
