∆Chapter∆ 26

(tbh from now on it's just everything that already happened in the manga, and god know I suck at writing or explaining action. So this is the last chapter and it's gonna focus on what happened after the final battle, the only change is that Ymir is alive instead of Falco(🥲))

Mikasa POV.
The smoke erupted from what was seconds before Eren's Founding Titan. A silhouette came through the smoke. Our eyes widened. It was Armin carrying Eren's head. He looked at me and I nodded, he then turned around and started walking, god knows where hell end up. I turned around and was immediately tackled into a hug by Annie. We fell to the floor. Reiner and Pieck came to join the hug too. Annie looked at Reiner.
"Not exactly how we planned to avenge them but..."
"I'm glad it's over." Reiner finished.
"Yeah."we all said in unison. They helped us up and we were met with all of the people who we saved from death. Our father came to us and hugged us tight, telling us how glad he was things turned out the way they did. The soldiers of Paradise were still here too. Jean and Connie were hugging, Ymir was helping Captain Levi. It was incredible. That even despite our supposed hatred we were able to come forward and work together. We eventually came to an agreement to help eachother now.

Three years have passed.We were finally back at Paradise. We met up with Armin and he lead us to Eren's grave. Who knew it would all come to this. All those memories from here, everything we've been through. Just to bury him in the ground. Annie held my hand as we placed flowers next to his grave, bowing down respectively. Historia came too holding her daughter in hands. I was still surprised Ymir let the poor surgeon live even if it was an agreement. She stood next to us, the baby was reaching for Ymir. Ymir was right by her side asking her if she was okay constantly. Historia just smiled and let Ymir hold they're baby while she went to place the flowers for Eren.
"Who would have knew we'd come this far."
"Yeah... it's crazy to just this about it."
"Of those days when we were still cadets."
Historia hummed and wiped her tears. Jean and Connie weren't even trying to hide they're tears. I looked at Annie and she let tears slip as well. That's when I felt something warm go down my own cheek. Annie noticed and wiped my tears away. We stayed to keep Eren company till the sun started to leave us in the dark. We all parted ways. Seminars were being held, for what we were going to do next. By some miracle General Magath and the Historia managed to convince people to stop this nonsense about races. Not that the fighting was completely gone, but this was a start. A piece treaty was more then a great start. It was what the two nations were in need of the most. It was still a start but it was better then nothing.

Annie and I were walking along the river not having a particular place we were going to. We kinda just went with the flow, trying to relax a bit. At one point we sat down. It was like back in our cadet days. Annie's back against a three, me in her lap. No saying anything, just enjoying the company. And as always Annie would be the one to break the silence. Heavy words leaving her mouth, things I was trying to forget.
"Remember... when I made a promise at our spot."
"Yeah."I laid my head on her chest.
"When I said I wouldn't talk about..."
"Yeah... I remember."
"Well I think it's time." I looked up at her.
"I only have a year left... Oh how the time passed quickly-"
I hugged her tighter.
"I would like to tell you... What my final wish would be."
My eyes widened.
"Annie-"
"Mikasa."
"..."
"I would like for you to inherit my titan."she said in all seriousness. I looked at her in disbelief.
"But Annie-"
"No buts. It's my final wish... To one day be with you in the path and spend an eternity with you."I felt tears in my eyes.
"But for now... I'll just like to stay here... Spend the rest of my days here. With dad, with everyone... With you."I buried my head into her chest.
"Then..."
"You're wish is my command." I could hear her chuckle. She hugged me tighter. I don't know how long we stayed there but I remember falling asleep and waking up to Annie hugging me from behind. I turned around and hugged her like she was gonna disappear, just like when we were kids. I felt her shift in her sleep pulling me closer.
