This my turn on the story to suite
Arthur and Merlin met Lancelot & Percival while traveling to investigating the fires of Idirsholas, Merlin couldn't stop the knights of Medhir from coming and the 4 were forced to fighting them when Gwaine who "NOT IN CAMELOT" jumped to help them but only brought enough time to ride away. All were heading to Camelot when they met Elyan and Leon who were on the look out for Arthur after people began to falling asleep. The 6 men went to Camelot the rest is pretty much like who the episode when with Merlin poisoning Morgana. Arthur for the help the 4 men gave him he knighted them, a year later Morgana comes back and now this is after the eye of the Phoenix happened, so Morgana's betray is still not known to others
