Tony pov
Never in my life would I think our lives were ever at risk until two of our own were shot and killed. Once I refueled a call from strange that Steve and Natasha were brought in my heart sank and I knew it was going to be bad.
"Tony we need to call it in" Rhodes got me out of our daze. "Sorry it's just Barnes and Gianna they both lost their best friends all because of hydra has Loki said anything yet?" Rhodes ignored my question and I definitely know somethings up. "James what is it?" Richard walks in and looks serious. "You won't believe this but Loki is agreeing to work with us" I was shocked and confused as to why the hell that asswipe would agree to work with us.
"Ok..under no circumstances are my daughter and Barnes to hear about this understand?" Both of them nodded their heads and I headed over to Loki's cell. "What kind of game are you playing loki? I'm not in the mood" he gave me a sympathetic look. "I'm sorry about Rogers and Romanoff i never meant for this to happen, in fact it wasn't even my plan to kidnap the girl and Barnes but grant changed the plans" that's the fourth person who mentioned the name grant.
"Who's grant? Your the next the person who's mentioned this kid" Loki adjusted himself. "An absolute nightmare is who. Like I said I didn't even know of the plans but had to adjust to make it believable my intentions are good I want to help at least to stop any more death from occurring" I looked over to Thor and nodded. "Today is your lucky day brother welcome to the avengers mafia one wrong move and I'll kill you instantly" Loki gulped and nodded nervously.
End of POV
Back with Gianna and Bucky, that poor girl had cried herself to sleep after losing her best friend Natasha while clinging onto James. What they never expected happened. "Can I come in?" Wanda asked. James nodded while watching Wanda's every move like she was a ticking time bomb. "How is she?" James looked down to his lover passed out. "Devastated she lost not only her best friend but lost Steve as well" Wanda carefully sat on the bed showing James that she's on their side so her slowly lets his guard down. "How are you feeling?" James turned away confirming Wanda's suspicions. "I'm fine" they both knew that was a lie. "Don't lie to me James you and I both know your staying strong and keeping your cooling for giannas sake" he sighed and tears started brimming in his eyes as Wanda placed her hand on his shoulder. "What are we gonna do they were apart of our missions team, we have no leader" there was complete silence from them. "Yes we do" we both looked up and saw tony and Loki so I got very protective. "Relax I'm not here to kill you or her I'm going to help" that still didn't help the fact that Bucky wanted to kill Loki for what he did.
"Why would you even allow this tony?" he raises his voice. "We need everybody we can get. We just lost two of our own." Tony exclaims. "Grant is still behind this." James eyes go wide and his knuckles become white. "I'll kill him. I want to rip that piece of shit into nothing." His anger getting worse by the second. Gia moves around in his arms and he immediately calms down. "I'm finding information and we will leave as soon as I track where he is." James nods and everyone leaves.
Bucky POV
My eyes fill with tears while I hold Gia. I miss Steve so much. I have to stay strong because I promised Gia we would avenge them. She moves around in my laps and I play with her beautiful long hair. Her hand comes up to touch my face. "It's going to be okay." She strokes my cheek and cuddles closer into me.
-The Next Morning-
I wake up to Gia missing from bed and the smell of food fills my nose. I get up and walk to the kitchen hearing everyone talking including Gia. "James come here I made you a plate." She weakly smiles at me. "Are you okay this morning?" She puts her head on my shoulder. "I'm alright. Are you okay?" she takes a deep breath and sighs. "I'll be okay but sitting around here and crying isn't going to bring them back." She really is one of the strongest people i know.
We eat and Tony pulls me to the side. "You holding up okay?" I nod. "I'll be fine." Tony nods. "I know that you know Grant so i need your help with all the information you know on him." His name sends wildfires through my veins and it makes me sick. "I'll help as much as I can." Grant will pay for all of this. "Let's head down to the lab and find as much as we can on this guy." I trail right behind Tony.
