Y/N's POV
We walked next to a line of people. They were screaming, begging to get inside the vessel. Guards kept the people from getting too close to the entrance.
"Well, this looks fun" Loki said with a sigh.
"I'm going to enchant a guard, have him lead us trough the crowd and if anyone gives us any trouble..." Loki cut Sylvie off before she could finish.
"Make him start shooting ? Then what, kill every guard and hijack the train ?" Loki asked.
"We're going to do this my way" Loki said as his clothes transformed into a guard's uniform.
"How do I look ?" Loki asked.
"Handsome, as always" I said.
"Like someone with a shit plan" Sylvie said at the same time.
"Follow my lead" Loki said as he grabbed our wrists and pushed us towards the entrance.
As we were about to walk inside a guard stopped us.
"Taking these two to Shuroo" Loki said.
"Okay. Tickets ?" The guard asked.
"Orders come from the top to get them on this train"
"Sir-" Before the guard could continue, Sylvie and I used our powers on him.
The guard didn't argue and let us trough. I smiled at Sylvie. She was powerful and our powers were similar.
We were in a lounge where people were drinking and partying as if it wasn't the end of their world.
Loki and I sat at a table and Sylvie sat in front of us.
Sylvie yawned.
"Are you tired ?" I asked.
She gave me a small nod.
"Feel free to get some rest" Loki said.
"I can't sleep in a place like this" She answered.
"You can't sleep on a train ?" Loki asked confused.
"I can't sleep around untrustworthy people" She answered.
Loki laughed.
"I'm not gonna waste my time rooting around for the TemPad when someone taught you decent magic"
"My mother" Loki said.
Sylvie scoffed.
"What was she like ?" She asked.
"She was... Queen of Asgard. She was good. Purely decent" Loki said with a sad tone.
"Are you sure she was your mother ?"
"Oh, no. She's not. I was adopted. Both of us were" Loki said referring to me.
"Is that a bit of a spoiler for you ? Sorry about that" Loki gave her a mischievous smile.
"No. I knew I was adopted" Sylvie said.
"What ?! They told you ?" Loki said in clear shock.
"Yeah. Did they not tell you ?"
"No. I mean they did eventually"
"Tell us about your mother" Loki said.
"I barely remember her. Just blips of a dream at this point" Sylvie said with a sad smile.
"Where'd you learn about enchantments ?" I asked, curious.
"I taught myself"
"That's impressive" I said.
"You go into their mind and project some sort of illusion ?" Loki asked.
"I could just-" Sylvie tried putting her hands on our faces.
"Enchant us and take the TemPad ? No, thank you" Loki said annoyed.
Loki decided to change the conversation topic.
"I pity the old woman who chose to die" Loki said referring to the woman at the house earlier.
"She was in love" Sylvie said.
"She hated him" Loki answered back.
"Maybe love is hate" Sylvie said.
"I don't think so" Loki said with his annoying smile as he held my hand.
"On the subject of love, is there someone waiting for you at the end of this crusade ?" I asked.
I wanted to get to know Sylvie and other variants of Loki if it was possible. Loki and her were so different, but they were so alike at the same time.
"There isn't. My previous girlfriend died" Sylvie said.
"I'm sorry" I said.
"It's alright. What about you ? You're royalty. Not only that, you're the goddess of love. There must've been someone before you and Loki found each other. A prince, or perhaps another princess" Sylvie said as she looked at me with a smile.
"No. There wasn't anyone before Loki. But if you are wondering, the gender of my partner is not important to me. I just so happened to fall in love with someone who currently presents themselves as a man"
We stayed silent for a minute.
"We're about to hijack the power source to a civilization's only hope" Sylvie said with a mischievous tone.
"Yes" Loki answered.
"It's not gonna be easy. We should rest" She proposed.
"All right. You relax your way and we'll relax ours" Loki answered.
"I don't think I want to relax your way, dear" I said.
"It's fine. Stay here and watch on the Variant" Loki said as he got up and walked towards the bar.
"So Sylvie, do you want to talk ?" I asked.
"Why do you want to talk to me ?" She asked, a little bit concerned.
"Well, if we die here at least we won't be total strangers"
"We won't die, I promise" Sylvie said, as she held my hand before quickly looking away and letting go.
"Tell me about your girlfriend" I said as it was the only subject of conversation that I could think of.
"She was-" Sylvie hesitated.
"She was beautiful, smart, caring. She died trying to save me during an apocalypse"
"She was running away from the TVA too ?" I asked.
"You could say that"
I stayed silent.
"How was your life on Asgard ?" She asked me suddenly.
"When Loki and I weren't wanted criminals or presumed dead slash kidnapped, it was good"
"Criminals ?"
"Loki managed to get Thor banned from Asgard to become king, then we tried to take over earth"
"Loki was king of Asgard ?"
"Yes, for a shot period of time. I was the queen"
"I'm sure you were a great queen"
I looked at Sylvie, she yawned.
"If you ever need to talk, I'm here for you. No matter what Loki says. You seem tired, you can sleep. I'm more trustworthy than my husband I promise" I smiled.
Sylvie smiled back as she fell asleep, her head on the table. I looked at Loki who was drinking. I smiled and fell asleep on the table too.
