Chapter 1

Y/N's POV

We all stood next to the throne waiting for Thor to arrive. Today was a special day, Thor would be crowned king of Asgard.

As Thor walked towards Odin who was sitting on his throne, people cheered for him. When Thor finally made it to his father, Odin got up from his seat and the palace became silent.

"Thor Odinson" Started Odin.

"My heir, my firstborn. So long entrusted with the mighty hammer Mjolnir forged in the heart of a dying star, it's power has no equal as a weapon to destroy or as a tool to build. It is a for companion for a king. I have defended Asgard and the lives of the innocent across the nine realms from the time of the great beginning. Do you swear to protect the nine realms ?"

"I swear" Answered Thor.

"And do you swear to preserve peace ?"

"I swear"

"Do you swear to cast aside all selfish ambition and to pledge yourself only to the good of the Realms ?"

"I swear" said Thor louder as he lifted his hammer.

"Then, on this day, I, Odin Allfather, proclaim you..." Odin suddenly stopped

"Frost Giants" He said

He used his spear to knock on the ground.

Thor, Loki, Odin and I all made our way to the basement where Odin's treasures were hidden. As Odin opened the door, we all became cold. On the floor Asgardian guards were dead and covered in ice.

Loki brought me close to him as we walked down the hall.

"The Jotuns must pay for what they've done !" Said Thor angrily.

"They have paid, with their lives. The destroyer did its work. The casket is safe and well" Said Odin calmly

"All is well ? They broke into the weapons vault ! If the frost giants had stolen even one of these relics-" Shouted Thor

"They didn't"

"Well I want to know why" Said Thor as Loki and I watched.

"I have a truce with Laufey, king of the Jotuns"

"He just broke your truce ! They know you are vulnerable !"

"What action would you take ?" Asked Odin as he turned around to face his son.

"March into Jotunheim as you once did. Teach them a lesson. Break their spirits so they'll never dare try to cross our borders again."

"You're thinking only as a warrior"

"This was an act of war !"

"It was the act of but a few doomed to fail"

"Look how far they got !"

"We will find the breach in our defences and it will be sealed"

"As king of Asgard-"

"But you're not king !" Odin screamed leaving Thor shocked.

"Not yet" Said Odin before walking away.

Thor quickly ran out of the basement leaving Loki and I alone.

"Well that went well" He said sarcastically.

"You know that Thor's intentions are not start a war. He just doesn't know what else to do" I said.

Loki put an arm around my waist as we started walking towards the door.

"Who knows, maybe Odin won't make him king of Asgard" He said with a mischievous smile
