'Were we going to die?'Was the question that kept replaying in my mind, dad tried to talk to Jenner to get him to open the doors, I looked up at the ticking timer with blurry eyes filled with tears, 10 minutes left, the wait felt more painful then the death, the wait of knowing you were about to die, "is this not what you all want?" Jenner asked "a painless short death rather then being out there fearing for your life every second of every day"
"Please," dad begged "please open the doors" sophia was still hugging onto me as I returned the favour, I wrapped my arms around her as we cried silently, a few minutes had passed, I heard something as I pulled my head up I see the doors open, everyone jumps up, "I'm grateful"  dad thanks Jenner "the day will come when you won't be" he simply replied, I looked back at the timer as mom took my hand and started walking.
5 minutes left
I looked back once more before we got to the door, I see Andrea and jacqui sit down and say she's staying , dale wanted to stay too, we got the front door, t-dog tried to break the window with a chair, it didn't work, shane tried to shoot the glass the bullets just bounce off the glass, I start worrying, we had less then 5 minutes to get out of here before it blew up, Carol starts rummaging through her purse "a nail file isn't going to do anything Carol" Shane seid as carol pulled out a granade "rick,when I was washing your uniform I found this in the pocket,it might work" carol seid as she carefully handed the granade to dad, mom grabbed me and Carl as we dropped to the ground and she fell on top of us, I blocked my ears as a few seconds later the ground shakes and I hear a boom, I look up and see the window shattered, mom grabs our hands again and starts running out the broken window "everyone, go" I hear Shane say behind me, we reach our cars, I look out the window to see two small figures running towards us, as they get closer I can see they are dale and Andrea, "get down!" I hear dad yell as I put my head down with my hands over my ears, the ground shakes visously, I can feel the heat from the explosion, I look up to see the CDC in flames, Andrea and dale popped an i up from where they were hiding and started running to the RV, jacqui wasn't with them.

We all started driving, now heading for fort benning, as we drove I stared out the window, I thought about jacqui and Dr Jenner, they were no longer in pain in this world, they were at peace now, Jenner was now with his wife in heaven, mom told us that jacqui,Jim and Amy were watching over us and protecting us, after driving for a while, dales RV stopped, everyone stopped their cars and got out, we walked over to dales RV the front was smoking "engines blown again" he sighed rubbing his forehead, where his RV had stopped was on a highway, it was piled up with cars some with decaying bodies inside.

mom told Carl and i to go with Sophia and carol while the others looked for supplies in the cars, while Carl and I walked over to where Sophia and carol were Carl stopped as he looked into a car window, "what is it?" I ask confused "look" he says pushing his finger into the glass,I look and see some weapons on the lap of a decaying corpse, he opens the car door, I step up into the car to grab the weapons, I get hold of them as I tug at it, suddenly I fell out of the car still holding the weapons, I hit the ground with a high pitched squeal,
Carl helps me up as I hand him the wepeons "you ok?" He asks "yeah, just sore" I say rubbing my back, we start walking back to mom, "mom look!" Carl exclaims as he holds up the weapons, moms face drops "where did you get those" she asks as he lays the out on the ground,"from a car" he replies smiling feeling proud of himself, "what?why?!" Mom stayed louder "and bringing your sister with you" she continued "it wasn't alive though" he muttered "but what if it was" mom exclaimed "you'd have no way to kill it, it could've hurt you or your sister, go give those to Shane" mom told him, Carl huffed then walked off, before I could say something to mom I hear dale yell something "walkers up ahead!"
Mom grabs my hand as she runs to a car, carol,mom and I get under a car, Carl and Sophia are also under a car across from us, soon the rest of our group are under cars, I try to keep as quiet as I can, even forgetting to breathe for a few seconds, all that could be heard was the shuffling of the walkers feet against the road as they slowly limped past us.

after a while we had thought the herd was gone, Sophia started getting out from her spot under the car, another walker spots her as she quickly shuffles back under the car, the walker bends down under the car as it tries to get her, she crawls out from under the car as she runs down into the forest with the walker following her, I can hear carol next to me trying to get out after her daughter though mom stops her, I wanted to run after her though I knew I couldn't take out those walkers, as more of our group got out from under their cars dad runs into the forest after Sophia, carol is next to mom in tears "no,no my Sophia" she chokes out as mom comforts her "rick will bring her back" mom reassures her.
