Ellie's POV
My eyes shot open to the sight of a roof, everything that had just happened flooded back into my mind, the deer and what happened after, "oh my god she's awake" I hear moms voice, she hugs me as dad and Carl join, I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen, I winced a bit, mom get up from the hug "did we hurt you?" She asks conserned "no no it just hurts" I say looking down at the bandage on my lower chest, "mom you should've seen the deer,it was amazing" I say smiling, something was diffrent, dad was missing his hat but it was on Carl head now, he noticed me looking at the hat "dad gave to me,he seid I'm a a man now, that I can keep you and mom safe" he says smiling from ear to ear.

A while later an old man who I had been told was hershel came into the room "you are able to walk around now just no running" he told me as I swung my legs on one side of the bed getting ready to stand up, mom next to me getting ready to help me up if I needed her to, I stand up,I wobble a bit a first but I can stand straight, mom and Carl help me as we walk down the stairs out of the house, as we walked out I saw two girls, one looked about 15 or so with wavy blonde hair while the other girl looked my age with sort of wavy elbow length brown hair, they smiled at me as I walked out, I smiled back.

I squinted my eyes as the sun hit me, the breeze felt nice and cool, it was nice and sunny, I could hear birds, horses and chickens, we walked over to a group of tents, I see carol and andrea, I sigh as I can't see Sophia, she's probably still missing, as carol and Andrea notice us, their faces light up with smiles, "you feeling alright?" Carol asks me rubbing my back "feels good to be back on my feet" I reply cheerfully, I look over and see Glenn talking to an unknown girl with short brown hair, carol and Andrea notice my confusion, "that's Maggie, hershels daughter" Andrea says, they two girls I saw while walking out I assumed were also hershels daughters.

A while later Carl and I were playing in the dirt in the sun, the girl I had seen before aproched us, "hi" she says cheerfully "hi" Carl and I respond "im Eloise" she says sitting down with us "or you can just call me El"
"I'm Ellie and this is my brother Carl" I say as Carl smiles "those are nice names" Eloise smiles "I hadn't seen any other kids my age in a while, it's getting kinda lonely here" Eloise says while playing in the dirt, "well we had another freind named Sophia but she got chased by two walkers and went missing in the forest" Carl blurts out regretting it a second later "oh im sorry" Eloise says "have you met my sisters?" El says as she starts standing up, we follow as she walks to the house, we follow her as she walks up the stairs to a room, she knocks on the door, the same girl I had seen with el before opened the door, she notices us and smiles "this is Beth" el says "Beth, this is Carl and Ellie" she says to Beth "well it's lovely to meet you two" Beth says kindly, Eloise walked out of the house as we followed toward the girl I had seen talking to Glenn, she was getting a horse ready, "maggie!" El yelled as she turned around "maggie this is Carl and Ellie" maggie smiled "nice to meet youse" she says while smiling "Glenn and I are about to go on a run to the pharmacy" she gets on her horse as Glenn walks over "hey" Glenn says to all of us as he also gets on a horse.

Daryl had gone to search for Sophia,a few hours had passed it was now nighttime,
after dinner Carl, Eloise and I were talking in her room, her room smelt like old people perfume like the whole house, though it was a calming smell, we were all laughing and smiling, it made me forget for a while that we there were dead people trying to eat us, "it's time for bed" mom says leaning on the door frame, we say bye to Eloise as we walk out with mom, we walk to out tent, it was now sort of cold at night but not too cold, we all got into our tents and seid goodnight to eachother, my face lit up as I saw something on my bed it was my sacred stuffed bunny, rushed over to it and held it close to my chest, I curled up in bed and closed my eyes, I could hear shuffling in our tent and the door unzip, I just thought someone needed to go to the toilet, I slowly fell asleep.
