Mika
It's been five months after I married the man who changed everything in my life. It feels surreal if I looked back at the past. From the night I met him until I said yes and I do, he brought a blissful sense of belongings to my heart and soul that none beyond words can describe. And now we're happily and excitedly expecting our little one.
I'm currently on my 8th months of my pregnancy. Kiefer and I are expecting a baby girl. Everytime I reminisced the day we found out the gender of our baby I couldn't help but to laugh.
Flashback
"Baby excited na ko. Finally we're going to know the gender of our little one." He said grinning like a fool while driving. We're on our way to the hospital for my monthly check up and schedule of my ultrasound.
"Kief I know you want a boy right? What if our baby is not a boy. Will you be disappointed?" I asked nervously. He threw a glimpe of me and sighed, then focused himself into driving. Para akong iiyak. His really expecting and wants a baby boy. My tears were about to fall down until he speak.
"Baby it doesn't matter either a boy or a girl. The only matters to me yung dapat healthy kayo dalawa. Ikaw ang nanay nyan kaya mahal na mahal ko yang asa loob ng tyan mo. Ginawa ko yan at akin yan." He said almost teary eyed and hold my hand with his free hand and kissed it gently.
"Stop worrying Mrs. Mika Ravena. Mahal ko kayo dalawa. Sana nga kambal or triplets yan. Mas madami babies mas masaya." He chuckled and giggled. I frowned.
"Ikaw magbuntis. Kala mo sakin baboy. Kainis ka" I gave his arm a slight punch. He just laughed at me.
When we reached the hospital, our ob-gyne greeted us and spoke to us regarding my condition. Kiefer was listening attentively. He even asked our ob-gyne some questions about my baby and me.
After my regular check up, our ob-gyne performed the ultra sound test. At first she explained to us the technicalities and importance why I needed to undergo on that said procedure.
She instructed me to lay down on the hospital bed near the ultra sound machine. Kiefer was holding my hand by my side.
"Baby this is it. I love you." He said as he leans his forehead to mine. Our ob-gyne lifted my dress to reveal my baby bumps and add the gel then continued to perform the ultra sound test.
"Seems your baby so active. See that, the way it moves. And see that. That part is the baby's gender." Doctor said, pointing at the monitor and explaining to us the condition of our baby.
I felt Kiefer held my hand more tighter. Parang iiyak ang mokong.
"Doc what's my baby's gender?" Kiefer asked excitedly.
"Mr. Ravena congratulations it's a girl." Doctor
Kiefer was so delighted upon hearing it. He seemed so happy.
"Baby thank you so much. I love you. I'm excited to see her." He said as he hugged me and buried his face on the side of my neck. I felt him crying already. We stayed for a while like that, hugging each other. I just brushed his hair with my fingers as he keep on murmuring I love you's to mine.
