In honour of the Legend herself releasing Red (Taylor's Version), here is this very short one shot.

Y/N and Scarlett were currently staying in the UK due to lockdown finally being eased. They were staying a cute apartment on the edge of London, but for the past few days it had done nothing but rain. Typical british weather. The two had been confined to the walls of their apartment, playing countless games of monopoly and uno to pass the time. They had watched the latest disney plus releases, but were just plain bored now.

Y/N stretched out her arms as the credits for "Devil Wears Prada" rolled on the screen, her cropped hoodie riding up, revealing her toned stomach. Scarlett immediately started the tickles, her fingers attacking Y/N ribs. Sounds of screams and giggles filled the room as Y/N tried to escape Scarlett's relentless attack. She finally broke free, running to the other side of the room as she panted hard, trying to bring air back into her lungs. Scarlett was still laughing on the couch and they both had bright red faces.

Y/N glanced over at her phone that was on charge by the wall. She tapped the screen, causing the date and time to flash up. Her eyes widened and she screamed as she saw the date.

"OH MY GOSH! ITS THE 12TH OF NOVEMBER!!!"

Scarlett's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "And that's special becauseeeeee....?"

"TAYLOR'S ALBUM GETS RELEASED TOMORROW MORNING!"

"WHAT?! TOMORROW! OH MY GOD." They were both screaming at each other, Y/N jumping around the room with excitement.

She flopped down onto the sofa, landing directly on top of Scarlett. "We should do a listening party. With snacks and blankets and cuddles."

"Yes! I'll bake some cookies and brownies cause god knows you'll burn this apartment down in the process." Scarlett said, smirking.

Y/N rolled her eyes. "I'm not that bad. I mean, I can do some things. Like..."

"Baby, yesterday you set the stove on fire by making grilled cheese. I don't think I trust you to use the oven."

"You treat me like a child." Y/N whined.

"Because you act like one!"

"Hmph! Well, if you're gonna be like that, then fine! I'm going to go and make a pillow fort so we can listen in peace. I'll leave you and you're adult duties alone." With that, Y/N waltzed out of the room, leaving Scarlett chuckling, before she pushed herself off the couch and wandered into the kitchen. She put her "Boogie Time" playlist on her Alexa (link in my bio for said playlist) and she got to work, pulling out the ingredients needed for the best chocolate chip cookies.

Y/N was making great advancements on the pillow fort. The rest of the room was a mess, but she had pulled fairy lights and fluffy boxes out of the box at the bottom of the wardrobe. The whole room had a cozy vibe, perfect for a Taylor Swift listening party. Y/N sighed as she took in the amazing scent of freshly baked cookies that wafted throughout the apartment.

Tears ran down both of their faces as "All Too Well - 10 minute version" played through the speakers. Y/N was laying with her head on Scarlett's lap and they were both emotional. The whole album was amazing, but they had gone back to listen to this particular song again. They couldn't get enough. It was about 8am and the pair had been listening for 3 hours, having had the album on shuffle. They had munched on cookies and chips, as well as Scarlett's special home fries, with her secret seasoning. Even Y/N didn't know what she put on them, but she knew they were addictive.

The pair had laughed and cried the whole time, reminiscing about old memories as the songs played. As the track changed to "Better Man", Scarlett cupped Y/N's face and made her sit up, before pulling her into a sweet kiss.

"This was the first song I ever heard you sing Y/N/N" Scarlett stared into Y/N's eyes as her mind drifted back to that day.

Scarlett had seen Y/N singing as a warm up act at a concert she went to. She was mesmerised by the girl on stage, who's voice was raspy and captivating, keeping everyone in the room hanging onto every word. Y/N sang a combination of covers and originals, giving credit to her friends who had allowed her to sing their songs. Scarlett had fallen in love with her, and she went backstage after the show to congratulate Y/N. Both of the women had a fan girl moment over each other, but instantly became best friends. The hang outs soon turned into dates, which became more frequent as time went on. Scarlett asked the big question and of course Y/N said yes, so they moved in together. But Y/N and Scarlett were still just as in love with each other as the day they first met. So hearing that song brought Scarlett right back to the beginning.

"I remember that concert like it was yesterday." She continued. "Better Man is my favourite song on the album because of you."

Y/N kissed her again. "That was the best day of my life. I'll never be able to thank Lizzie enough for dragging you along to the concert. And to think we never would have met if that hadn't of happened." She hummed, thinking back to that day.

"Everything Has Changed (Taylor's Version)" was gently playing in the background as the pair snuggled further under the blankets, holding each other close. Their relationship was as wholesome and perfect as they were. Full of cuddles, kisses and compliments. Never have you seen 2 people more in love than Y/N and Scarlett.

The couple slowly drifted off to sleep as the sun started to rise. They were safe in each other's arms, and that's all that mattered.
