"Thank you," I whispered.

Bumitiw ako sa yakap niya at nahihiyang pinunasan ang mga mata. My face is burning and flaming. I'm feeling shy, but it's too late to realize what I've done. I hugged him... Was that supposed to be a big deal?

"You're always welcome, Miss Ma'am," he said then smiled. "Saan ka pupunta?"

I am feeling uncomfortable because I tried pushing him away a lot of times. I threw hard stones and spit shits towards him, but he's still doing his best to deal with me. Hindi ko nga alam kung bakit ginagawa niya pa iyon. Ang daming tanong sa isip ko pero isa lang ang iniisip ko. Ano'ng ginagawa niya rito? Akala ko ba inaayos niya 'yong libing ni Kuya?

"I'm about to go to a convenience store," I answered.

"Really? You look completely a mess tapos may balak ka pa talagang pumunta ng convenience store niyan? Wala ka nga sa sarili mo, e. Baka mamaya, 'di ka magbayad sa cashier," he said, obviously joking. "Baka sugurin pa 'ko rito para singilin 'yong kinuha mo."

My cheeks burned, again and I felt my head being numb. Para akong in-umpog, nahihiya ako.

"I'm just kidding," he said when he noticed that I stayed quiet. "Gusto mo bang samahan kita? Let me just go with you."

"H-Huwag na," I answered. "May lakad ka yata." Baka puntahan mo si Veronika. Kasama mo ba?

"Ahuh?" he asked me. "Wala akong lakad. Just to make sure that you'll pay sa cashier. Para kang walking-dead today, e."

We walked our way to the elevator. Nang makapasok kami ay para akong tuod. Halos hindi na 'ko gumalaw at kung puwede lang, hindi na 'ko huminga.

Paminsan-minsan, tinitignan o sinisilip ako ni Ian. Nakatingin lang ako sa sahig, tinitignan ang repleksyon ko roon. I am shaking so bad at nakalimutan ko na yata ang rason kung bakit ako umiyak kanina. Fuck, I'm so nervous! His presence is still intimidating as it should.

"W-What are you doing here?" I asked him to break the silence.

Ang katahimikan ay pinakakaba ako ng husto. Ian, please? Just bite my question para hindi tayo awkward dito. Hindi ko na kaya ang awkwardness! Para akong mamamatay!

I looked up only to meet his gaze. He's looking at me seriously then opened his mouth like he wants to say something, but ended up closing it afterwards and just shaked his head because of disappointment.

My eyebrows met and I sighed in disbelief because of his act. He might be here because of someone, huh? Is it because of Veronika Park, Acoza?

I rolled my eyes as madness and anger started to feed my whole system.

"I-I'm so sorry, but I can't tell you," he said after the long silence. "But seriously, I missed you."

Nahigit ko ang aking hininga sa hindi maipaliwanag na rason. He can't tell me the reason why he's here then he shifted the topic about him, missing me? Wow!

"I just wanna know... Did you missed me too?"

I missed you... a lot.

Hindi ko siya sinagot bagaman gustong-gusto kong magsalita at sabihin sa kaniya kung gaano ko siya ka-miss. Hindi ko alam kung bakit naiirita ako sa naiisip na si Veronika ang rason kung bakit nandito siya. Ni-hindi ko nga alam kung nandito ba talaga si Veronika at kung nandito man, ano'ng ginagawa niya rito, e taga-Korea siya?

Ikaw nga, Pilipina pero nasa America.

I closed my eyes in annoyance as my brain started to betray me. Buwisit talaga!
