"Albina, Daphnes, please take the children and leave the chamber" I ordered as I walked into my chamber much to their shock. Albina stood up with Selim in her arms with her eyebrows raised.

"Please just leave" I begged pointing at the door. Daphne bowed before pulling the children out of the room. Albina gave me an unsure look before she also left the room with Selim. I sat down on my bed and let my tears continue running down my face. I placed my head in between my hands as a way to muffle my cries.

The doors to my room opened again but I didn't look not wanting whoever came in to see me in this condition. I prayed in my head that it wasn't one of the children or maids because that will traumatize the children and if it was a maid then the entire harem will know by nightfall that I have been crying alone in my room.

"My love" I froze as the sound of Mahmoud's voice reached my ears. I looked up pushing my hair out of my face. The look on his face can only be described as heartbreak. He walked over to the bed and sat down beside me, he wrapped his arms around my shoulders and pulled me closer to his body.

"Promise me that you will bring justice to our son" I whispered looking up at him. Mahmoud looked down at me with a frown, it was like something snapped in me and for the very first time, I encouraged violence.

"Kill her like she killed our son, make her suffer like she made Mustafa suffer" I held his shirt into fists as I looked up at him pleadingly. She deserved worse for killing two children who didn't even have time to see the world. She spread the plague in Istanbul when she infected Isa and she placed us all in danger with both Isa and Mustafa.

"She deserves to feel the same pain" I mumbled looking down at my lap. I pulled away from Mahmoud when he didn't say anything. I raised my hand to my face and whipped the tears leaving a stain in their wake, I was sure that at this point I had dark circles under my eyes.

"Darling, look at me," Mahmoud said but when I didn't move he placed his forefinger under my chin and pulled my face towards him. I looked at him with the same broken look he wore earlier and still is wearing.

"I will make her suffer like she made us all suffer" Mahmoud promised making me smile. He leaned down and kissed my forehead before getting up and leaving the room. I looked at the mirror beside the bed to see how much of a mess I became. I stood up from my bed and stalked over to the mirror, I held the edges and pulled it down to my feet making it shatter and the glass turned to salt.

I walked over to my bed ignoring the crunching sound of the glass breaking even more under my feet and laid down in bed. My Mustafa didn't deserve to die such a death, he deserved to grow up alongside his brothers. He deserved to be walking on his own two feet and running after Ahmed Cem and Suleiman. I deserved to see him hold his wooden sword that his brothers hold and play with. He deserved to live.

"How are you holding up?" Yenisah Sultan asked

"How are you holding up?" Yenisah Sultan asked. She had came to visit me after I locked myself in my room for a couple of days.

"I'm better now, I made my peace with the fact that Mustafa will soon lay peacefully in his little grave when Dilruba Sultan gets executed" I answered playing with,y black dress that I had worn for the day.

"I hope this brings you peace," Yenisah Sultan said patting my hands in my lap. I sighed and nodded my head. The doors to my room opened and a maid I knew worked for the Valide Sultan walked in and bowed to us.

"Sultanas, the execution will take place soon" She informed us. I grinned and jumped up pulling Yenisah up with me. We walked out of my room and down the harem feeling finally brave enough to face them after they had heard what had happened and who caused the deaths of the Sehzades.

When we reached the tower the Valide was already there with Gevherhan Sultan and Leyla. I looked at Leyla who seemed just as happy as me at the execution. I stood beside the Valide and looked down to find all of the Pashas in the council stood in line beside the empty throne and there were two groups of Janisarries here to witness the execution of the traitor. There was also a white marble stone a couple of feet in front of the throne with a sword lying beside it on a piece of brown leather cloth.

The doors to the tower opened and Esmehan Sultan walked in with bloodshot eyes and a black dress on. I felt bad that she will be losing her mother soon and this way as she had never been a Sultana before. Dilruba Sultan was still a slave since the late Sultan never married her. Hatice followed Esmehan Sultan and they both stood a little to the side, I can see that the fact that I didn't kill Ayse bothered Hatice because she wanted me to be in Dilruba Sultan's place right now.

"DESTOR, SULTAN MAHMOUD KHAN, HIS HIGHNESS" A guard announced and his voice echoed off of the marble walls. The huge doors opened and Mahmoud stepped out clad in his blood-red outfit with his guards following behind him, one of the guards held Mahmoud's sword that laid in a golden holder with beautiful jewels decorating it. Mahmoud sat down on his throne and looked over his bowing subjects with a powerful era surrounding him. Mahmoud raised his hand in the air and everyone rose from their bowing stature.

"My lion" The Valide whispered clapping her hands together. Two guards walked out into the clearing dragging a body clad in white. Dilruba looked beaten and barely able to hold her own weight up as she was forced on her knees in front of the marble stone. The look on her face only showed how much in pain she was in which made me feel very happy.

"Allah is great," The executioner said raising his sword above his head before bringing it down cutting her head clean off with his strength and skill. Esmehan let out a choked sound and turned away from the window in the justice tower. I couldn't take my eyes off of Dilruba's rolling head and wide eyes that stared up at the sky when her head finally stopped rolling.

My eyes trailed to Mahmoud who stood up from his throne and looked at the fallen corpse of his stepmother. He walked over to her head not caring about the blood that got on his robes. He picked up her head and glared into her eyes. He whispered something under his breath that I can only imagine as 'Burn in hell' before he dropped her head back into the puddle of blood, with no care at all before he turned back around and walked back into the castle. Justice has been given to me and I finally can sleep peacefully at night knowing my son was satisfied in the skies among the angels.

I turned around facing the women around me in the tower, the Valide had her hands up to her chest with a huge grin on her face for finally getting rid of her lifelong enemy. Hatice had a grimace on her face, she was disgusted about what had happened. Esmehan was quietly sobbing in the corner and her whole body was shaking with each sob. Yenisah Sultan was stone cold, she probably still felt bad for her sister but she couldn't comfort her in front of me or her mother. I nudged Yenisah Sultan towards Esmehan Sultan, she looked at me shocked but I only gave her a small smile and nod of approval, Yenisah walked over to her older sister and pulled her close in a hug and the older women clung to her sister sobbing softly. Gevherhan Sultan looked at her sister in pity but she didn't do or saying anything to comfort her and only watched Yenisah do the job.
