I walked into the harem with the biggest smile on my face. All of the girls looked up and watched me as I walked through the harem and up to my room. Daphne jumped up and followed me up to the favorite room.
"I have to get ready for tonight," I said gleefully as I started to search through the dresses Mahmoud sent as presents.
"Uhm Katerina, do you know what day is it today?" Daphne asked slowly as she approached me.
"Thursday," I said shrugging and continued searching through the dresses.
"You know that Thursdays are spent with one of his wives right?" She asked rubbing her arm up and down my back like she was trying to comfort me.
"We'll see," I said smirking. I pulled out a beautiful red dress. Mahmoud promised to spend the night with me and I won't let some woman spend it with his even if she mothered his child.
"Do you think Leyla sultan will let you spend the night with him so easily? She's a mother or a prince and of much higher status than you" Daphne ranted panicking.
"I wasn't asking for her permission," I said taking the things I need to shower.
"Besides Mahmoud asked for me," I said cockily walking out of the room and to the hmam. I took a much-needed bath before changing and getting ready.
I walked with Daphne and Diana Kalfa to the sultan's room. My heart was in my throat I won't lie. I was scared that Leyla got there before me and he let her in. As I walked further in I could see a figure and I smirked when I saw Leyla walking towards me with her maids and aghas that were meant to escort her to spend the night with Mahmoud.
"He sent her back" I whispered to Daphne in a sing-song voice. She giggled before straightening up as Leyla sultan neared us.
"You got this night but there will be many Thursday nights and we'll see who he'll choose," she said before walking away with her head held high.
"We'll see" I muttered and continued walking. When I reached the sultan's room the guard immediately walked in to inform the sultan of my arrival.
I walked in and bowed to him. He walked closer to me where I stood. I kneeled down and kissed his robes. He pulled me up by my chin and made me look him in the eyes. We both smiled at each other before he pulled me in for a kiss.

I watched as Mahmoud stood up and started to dress in his day's clothes. The maids bought me a new dress to wear. I got into the turquoise dress and walked over to Mahmoud who was stood in front of his desk looking at something.
I wrapped my arms around his waist from behind. I could feel him let out a small chuckle before turning around to look at me with a soft smile.
"You look beautiful in those colors," he said looking me over. I blushed and looked down, he pulled my head back up and kissed me one more time.
"I got you something," he said pulling something from behind him. I looked down to see a beautiful emerald ring glittering in the sun
"It's beautiful" I whispered as he slid it on my finger. I raised my hand and looked at the ring more closely which made me smile as it shined in my hand.

"I love it, thank you, your majesty," I said pulling him in for a kiss before we were interrupted by a knock on the door. I pulled away and stepped to the side as a guard walked in.
"Ali pasha is waiting outside," the guard said. I pulled a scarf over my head to cover up since pashas were not allowed to see the harem woman.
"You can go, Katerina" I bowed and walked out. I bowed to Ali pasha on the way and continued to the harem. When I reached it I pulled the scarf down and let it lay on my elbows as harem aghas opened the huge oak doors and I walked in with a huge smile playing with my new ring.

I could see the girls watching me with curious eyes since I was the first girl to steal the Thursday from Leyla sultan in years. I walked into my room and laid down feeling exhausted.
"He actually let you spend the night" Daphne explained walking into the room. I sighed tiredly and sat up and watched her as she walked in with a grin and sat down beside me.
"Of course he did" I muttered. I suddenly felt nauseous which made me lean forward covering my mouth. I couldn't help but throw up on the floor.
"Oh my god" she ran out yelling for someone to get a doctor as I heaved heavily.
"What's wrong with the hatun?" Diana Kalfa asked as the doctor moved to wipe her eyes.
"The hatun is pregnant" I grinned happily at her words. I jumped up and pulled a sack filled with money and gave it to the doctor who took it without hesitation and left.
"I'll take care of everything and tell the royal family, you, on the other hand, lay down and rest," Diana Kalfa said with a grin and walked out.
"Now you are one hundred percent an enemy to all of his wives, you have to be careful from now on," Daphne said turning serious in a second.
"Of course, besides I have you beside me don't I?" I turned to look at her with a huge grin.
"Now they can't push me away from Mahmoud no matter what," I said smiling. I've known for a while that his wives have been trying to get the valide sultana to banish me from the old castle.
"I can't believe that I have a piece of Mahmoud in me," I said rubbing my still flat stomach lovingly.
