Chapter 47

"Pizza!" Lila exclaims as Tony and Clint walk through the door with 2 boxes of pizza each. Nat takes one sitting next to me in the kitchen. The team sit and talk about what's gonna happen over the next few weeks regarding hydra. I wasn't really listening into the conversation, I was more in my own thoughts. I feel a hand nudging my side. It takes a second for me to remember where I am. I look to my left to see Nat trying to get my attention.
"Huh?" I ask.
"I asked if you were okay." She says.
"Yeah.. just zoned out a little." I say. I look around to notice that everyone was gone.
"You didn't eat much, are you sure you're okay?" She asks again.
"I'm just not that hungry. Where is everyone else?" I ask.
"They're all setting up for the night." Nat replies as she stands up and puts our plates into the sink. "Come on." She says as she puts her hand out for me. I take it and we walk up the stairs together. She leads us into a room with our stuff over her shoulder.

"This is gonna be fun." Wanda sighs sarcastically.
"We aren't gonna do anything." I say as I go over to a corner where an air mattress is deflated. Wanda was taking the bed since there was only a single. Nat drags another air mattress to where I was and she puts a pillow that Clint supplied on it and then hands me one. I put my blanket down and Nat uses one that Clint had laying around.
"What time is it?" I ask Nat.
"9. What happened to your phone?" She responds.
"It broke when I threw it." I sigh.
"Oh that was funny." Nat says with a smile.

"We're gonna go downstairs and hang out with the others, you guys coming?" Carol asks me and Nat.
"I think I'm gonna stay up here." I say.
"Me too." Nat says.
"Oh no. Please keep away from our area." Wanda says.
"Nothing. is. Gonna. Happen." Me and Nat say at the same time.
"Whatever you say." Wanda says as they leave the room.
"Can we watch a movie?" I ask Nat.
"Sure, what do you want to watch?" She asks as she gets her laptop out of her duffle bag.
"I don't know... instant family?" I suggest.
"Sure." She says as she opens netflix and searches for the movie. Nat sets up her laptop and I move into her grasp. Nat kisses my forehead then plays the movie.

I wake up the next day, slightly confused about where I am, then I remember that I'm at Clint's house.
"Morning baby." Nat says in a raspy whisper.
"Morning." I say as I turn around to face her. I kiss her nose then cuddle back into her chest. "What time is it?" I ask.
"5." She says.
"I'm guessing we can't go on a run?" I ask.
"Nope. Too dangerous, sorry детка." Nat replies sincerely with a kiss on the top of my head.

After a while of talking to Nat, we get up and go downstairs.
"I forgot my phone upstairs, I'll be back in a second." Nat says before kissing my forehead and going back upstairs.
"How sweet." I hear Bruce say as he emerges from the doorway Nat just left out of.
"What?" I ask.
"You and Nat." He says. "There's a lot that she isn't telling you y'know." He says.
"You don't know what you're talking about." I say, refusing to believe what he was saying was true.
"Has she told you about the red room?" He asks.
"The what?" I ask.
"So she hasn't. Maybe she just doesn't trust you." He says.
"S-she trusts me." I say.
"Is that why she's kept her past a secret?" He asks. "But she loves you, right? I'm sure she does." He says before exiting, leaving me confused. Nat then enters the room.
"You okay?" She asks as she notices my confused face.
"W-what's the red room?" I ask her, not looking at her.
"What?" She asks, very surprised.
"B-Bruce, he- he said you don't trust me... that you would have told me about something called the red room." I say as I hesitantly look up at her.
"Bruce is full of shit and you know it." She says aggressively.
"Yeah I do know.. But how does he know about this red room thing?" I ask.
"Before I met you, we were close, that's all. Nothing more than friends. I told him about it when he thought he was a monster when hulk was killing people." She explains.
"But you never told me.. We've been together for so long Tasha and you never told me... Do you not trust me?" I ask, looking away, sad.
"Of course I trust you, I just never knew the right time." She says.
"Then tell me now.. Please Tasha." I say.
"Fine..." She says as she motions for us to sit down on the couch.

After Nat explains everything that happened in the red room, I hold her tight. She is crying silently and I feel so bad.
"I'm so sorry, I love you so much." I whisper to her as I hug her into my chest, my head resting on hers.
"I love you more." She says as she sniffs.
"Not possible." I say as I kiss her head.

Nat falls asleep in my arms after a while and I don't let her go.
"What happened?" Clint asks as he enters the living room.
"She told me about the red room." I say.
"Oh.. I'll make her some coffee." He says, understanding the hard topic for Nat.

I feel a stirring in my arms and Nat moves her head so she is looking up at me.
"Hey." I say to her with a smile.
"Hi." She says with a small smile.
"Clint made us some coffee." I say as I motion to the mugs on the coffee table. Nat goes to grab it but I get it for her.
"Thank you." She says as she takes the mug.
"I'm sorry for pushing you to tell me." I say.
"It's fine, I needed to tell you, I just didn't know how to." She says as she shifts slightly.
"Can we go for a walk? I know it's risky for hydra to see us, I just wanna go outside." I say.
"I'll talk to Tony." Nat replies.
"Thank you." I say as I kiss her cheek.
"You two hungry?" Clint asks.
"Kinda." Nat says
"Not really." I say. I finish my coffee and Tony comes downstairs.
"Morning." Tony says.
"Good morning.. Would it be too dangerous to leave and go on a walk?" Nat asks.
"Yeah probably. Why?" He asks.
"Y/N/N and I wanted to go on a walk." She says.
"I guess you two can as long as you stay close to the house." He says.
"Yes!" I celebrate quietly. Nat smirks at me.

We leave and walk around, hand in hand.
"So, last night, did you guys figure out what we're gonna do about hydra?" I ask.
"We were thinking about taking down all the bases but that will take a while of Stark developing new tech to help us. That'll take a while since we only have what is in Clint's garage. We'll have to take down all the remaining bases at once. There's 6 left that we know about." Nat explains.
"I'm tired. This job is hard." I say with a laugh.
"I know, but hopefully it'll slow down after this." She says as she holds my hand tighter. I pull her into a kiss and I place my hand on her cheek.
"I love you more than words can describe." I say as I look into her eyes.
"I love you so much more." She says.
"Not possible." I say as I pull her in for a kiss.

We go back inside and talk to the others about Tony's tech.
"We can't risk going back to the tower so me and Bruce have to develop 6 thermal detectors, new weapons and anything that will help." Tony explains.
"Me and Y/N can help, we fixed a lot of stuff when we were in college." Carol says referring to the multiple mini fridges, microwaves and the shower in me and Wanda's dorm that we fixed. Not the best thing to work with Bruce, but it can't be that bad, right?
"Yeah, whilst Wanda watched." I mumble.
"Hey! I didn't want to get in your way." She says.
"Uh huh." I say with a skeptical eye brow raise.
"If you three are done, we need to talk about this." Tony says. "If you two could help me in the barn, that would be helpful." He says.
