Sunday rolls around and Nat and I pack a suitcase and a bag each with stuff we need. I almost forget my blanket but remember just in time, then we get in Nat's car and drive to the hotel which is about 3 hours away. I set our stuff in the back of the car and sit in the passenger seat with my blanket draped around me.
"You really like that blanket huh?" Nat asks as she switches her focus between me and the road.
"Yeah, it's so fluffy!" I say. I've had it since Christmas, so 4 months, and it's still fluffy.

We arrive at the hotel and Nat takes our bags up, no matter how much I want to help. I take the blanket instead. We get the key to our room and get our stuff down. I cup Nat's face in my hands and kiss her.
"What was that for?" she asks as we separate from the kiss.
"Nothing... I just love you so much." I say as I kiss her once more.
"I love you so much more." she returns.
"Not possible." I say with a smile.
"So, what do you wanna do?" Nat asks.
"SHOPPING!" I exclaim.
"You're eager." she replies with a laugh.
"I know.. I'm just in need of some new clothes." I smile.
"Come on then." she says, getting a jacket on.

We walk hand in hand down the street and head into different stores and get lots of stuff.
"So, you ready to go back to the hotel?" I ask.
"I wanna pick up some books from the library." Nat responds.
"That's very me of you." I say with a gentle giggle. I too wanted to go to the library but the last time we went there wasn't a great experience, that guy calling us disgusting made me feel disgusting. "I'll meet you in the car." I say quietly.
"Why not come with me and pick out some books?" she asks, skeptical since I always like going to the library.
"Uh- I-I'm just not in the mood for it, Tasha." I say, looking down at the ground.
"Is it because of what happened last time?" she asks, damn she's good.
"N-no." I lie, still avoiding eye contact.
"Y/N/N, baby, is it?" she asks once again, directing my gaze to hers with her index finger on my chin.
"Yes.." I grumble. She pulls me into a hug and holds me close. I bury my face into her neck. I know I shouldn't be affected by what other people say and think, but it does. My whole life I've always cared what people think, especially my brother and family. Knowing that they don't support me makes me feel like no one will, even though I have so many people around me that do.
"I'm not gonna force you to come in with me but the sooner you do, the sooner you'll realise that not everyone is like that." She says, pulling away slightly and kissing my nose. I really wanna go into the library...
"I'm sorry Tasha..." I apologize. "I'm gonna stay in the car." I add.
"Okay, I love you." she says, kissing my forehead.
"I love you more." I say.
"Not possible." she replies with a smooth smile. "I'll see you in the car." she hugs me once more before walking off. I walk over to the car only to realise I don't have the keys and it's locked. I slump down with a groan, sitting against a wall with the bags full of the stuff Nar and I bought, facing the car.

I play games on my phone, glancing up every now and then. I glance up once more before looking back down, but I have to look up again as I see someone I recognize.
"Y/-Y/N?" the familiar woman calls out.
"M-mom?" I stutter. Alec and Dad have both been handled... but mom... mom is still around.. free.
"Y/N baby, you're okay." she says giving me a hand to help me up. I refuse the hand and get up by myself earning a confused look from my mother. She wasn't much of a mother growing up. She helped pressure me into crime. I didn't think she was bad at the time but now I see how toxic she was.
"Yeah.. I'm okay... why wouldn't I be?" I ask.
"You haven't spoken to me since your brother was taken... to-" She chokes on her words at the thought of her 'precious baby boy' was taken by S.H.I.E.L.D.
"Dad wasn't exactly happy because it was my fault. I didn't exactly want to talk to either of you." I reply honestly.
"Don't be so rude to me." she demands.
"Just go away please." I say.
"I am your mother. Just come back home Y/N. Please. Your father is willing to accept you back as long as you and that woman end whatever it is you have together. We know better of you. We know you could never be gay." she says.
"Shut up 'mom'!" I say using air quotes around mom.
"Y/N. Please." she begs.
"No." I say. Just at that time, Nat gets back. Thank fuck.
"Everything okay here?" she asks, books in hand.
"Everything is fine. Y/N, just come back home. We'll get Alec back and everything will be like it was before." She says.
"No. I've already told you I'm not coming back to you guys." I say, grabbing the bags from the floor then taking Nat's arm and leading her to the car. She opens the car, glancing over at the woman I'm supposed to call my mother who is calling out for me to come back and continue the talk with her.
"Who is that?" She asks as we get in the car.
"My mother." I grumble, leaning back and putting the bags in the backseat.
"What was she saying?" She asks again, locking the doors, I guess not trusting my 'mother', I don't blame her.
