I yawned, as I sat up in bed. "You know, you have the day off, right?" Jake chuckled. His arm went around my legs and his face moved to rest on my thigh. "Come back to sleep."
"I can't," I said, running a hand through his hair. "I'm getting brunch with the girls."
"What are you doing after brunch?" He asked, kissing my thigh before pulling himself into a sitting position next to me. "You start work tomorrow and I'd like to spend some time with my girlfriend on her one day off this month in the same country as me."
I smiled, placing a hand to his cheek, "nothing. I'd love to spend the rest of my day with you. But I have to be at brunch in an hour so..."
He scoffed, leaning in to kiss me. "No time for morning sex, huh?" He asked, kissing me. I smiled against his lips, but pulled away before he got the chance to try to convince me to stay in this comfy bed of his.
"I have to get ready," I told him, heading for his ensuite. He waved me off with a playful smile. So I continued to use his bathroom, pulling out a few of my things. I landed in LA yesterday evening. Jake picked me up from the airport and brought me back to his place. We had talked about how busy I've been lately. So he suggested I stay with him since I was only back for a week.
It seemed like a good idea so we could spend more time together. I was back in LA to discuss season 2 of Euphoria. I wasn't sure if we were going to start filming or just table readings. Every week I'm getting a new update on delays in filming and retractions and scheduling conflicts with other cast members. It's been a disaster but it was on my schedule to show tomorrow at 9am and nearly every day for the rest of the week. So that's what I was going to do.
