2: January 6th, 2019 (FLASHBACK)

"Oh, my god," I panted.

"Come here," Colson growled, pulling me into him so he could cuddle me. We were finally done having the best sex of my life. And it felt so good to be naked and to be held and in his sweaty arms nonetheless. I had no idea how much I missed this. And cuddling, oh I loved it so.

"Your phone is buzzing. Again," I laughed. It buzzed half of the time we were doing it. But it went ignored. "Check and make sure it's not an emergency now." He sighed.

"Casie has a ringtone. It's not her so it can't be an emergency," he told me. Again.

"Check it and tell your friends to fuck off."

He chuckled, grabbing his phone out his pants pocket on the floor. I watched him stare in confusion, brows furrowing. "What?" He mumbled to himself. "What is everyone talking about?"

"What's wrong?" I asked, rolling around in his silky sheets. Oh, I was so happy.

"Oh shit."

"Colson," I frowned before looking at him again. And an uneasy feeling swept over me as I saw the horror stricken look on his face. He looked like he was going to be sick.

"No," he groaned. "No, no."

"Baby, what's wrong?"

"Oh god.. Liv, you're gonna see something that you're not going to like but please don't freak out. We just made up."

"Whatever it is, I can handle it."

"I don't know about this," he sighed, running a hand through his hair. I sat up and moved towards him. I pecked his lips before taking his phone.

"I'm not going anywhere. Okay? I promise."

"You're fucking kidding," I spat. "Did you know she was pregnant before you fucked me?"

Colson's brows shot up, "no. I had no idea, baby. This is how I'm finding out too. Come on, you know me. I wouldn't keep this from you."

I sighed, running a hand down my face. "Of course this is how that idiot would tell you," I sighed, handing him his phone back so I didn't have to see that picture anymore. "I need clothes and a shower. I should get out of here. You need to call her."

"Don't go, Liv," Colson frowned.

"The idea of someone else—her—having your baby is making me want to vomit. Okay? I can't even wrap my head around it."

"I know, I'm in shock too."

I climbed out of bed, pulling on one of his shirts so it was baggy on me and kept me covered. "Were you just having unprotected sex with her?" I asked him.

"What? No."

"Every time you used a condom?"

"Yes," he stated. "Of course. Hell, I use one with you. And you're the only person I don't want to with."

I groaned, "call that stupid bitch."

"I'm trying," he said, waving his phone at me. "She's not picking up." He walked around the bed to me, wrapping an arm around my waist. "I just got you back... don't leave me," he whispered softly.

I sighed, kissing his bare chest and wrapping my around him for a tight embrace. "I don't want to leave you..."

"But?"

"But I can't imagine us together while she's carrying your child for nine months. You and I both work a lot. And you're going to have to be here for her. For nine months... that's a long time, Colson."

"But we can do it."

"I don't know if I can," I admitted. "I want to cry."

"I know, baby. I'm sorry. I had no idea... I didn't want this to happen. I'm not ready for another kid. Not now. Not with her."

"I need to shower," I told him again. "And then I think I'll head to Bella's. Keep my stuff there for awhile."

"Okay," he sighed.

"I have a flight at 11AM. So I need to get going and get some sleep."

"Okay," he said again. "Are we good?"

"I don't know, Colson. This is a lot to take in. And I'm about to be gone for two months straight for this movie. Maybe now isn't the time for us to make up and get back together... I can't just jump back into things with you... not with a baby on the way."

"I'm not giving up on us."

"Me either," I said, smiling sadly. Then I placed both of my hands on his cheeks and kissed him deeply. It lasted all of thirty seconds before I pulled away. And then I did as I said.

I showered—alone. I hugged Colson goodbye. And I headed to Bella's. She was going to lose her shit when she finds out I left Zac after a brief engagement moment and then went running back to Colson only for some other girl to end up pregnant with his baby.

My life was clearly some kind of sick joke.
