"I can't believe you're here," I said, looking up at Jake as we laid in bed, naked as usual. He got back to New York yesterday. I picked him up from the airport and we headed straight home to get lost in each other in the bedroom.

And then we met up with his sister and brother in law for lunch. After that we spent the day at the dog park with Noon who was probably more excited that Jake came home after a week of being in Birmingham. Then last night he surprised with tickets to a show on Broadway. We had the most amazing time. And after the show we went to a party, my idea. Bella invited us. Jake finally met Adam Devine with Chloe, and despite shipping Zolivia for so long he stamped his approval on our relationship. As did Chloe. We spent some quality time the four of us. Not that I was surprised though. Jake is a really lovable guy. He's charming and charismatic, really intelligent. He cares about the environment and is a real advocate for women's rights. What's not to love?

"Well, the news was that me being away meant other guys trying to take my spot," he joked, running a finger over my shoulder and down my arm.

"They can try all they want, your spot is next to me," I said, running a hand up his chest to cup his slightly gruff face. I brought his lips to mine for a slow kiss.

That might be my favorite thing about Jake. He was so gentle and sweet. But he didn't lack the passion. It's like every kiss, he poured himself into me. And it didn't go unnoticed. He was a tender lover. Even when things got rough and slightly kinky, he was still more gentle than Colson or Damon had ever been. Zac was good, but... we lacked chemistry. Jake checked all the boxes of a good lover in and out of bed. And in bed? He hit all my spots. Maybe that came with age and experience. And I was so thankful for it.

"What do you want to do today?" Jake asked, pulling away from my lips.

"More kissing for starters," I answered and he laughed. He turned his body more towards me so we were face to face.

"You want to stay in or go out for breakfast?"

"Definitely stay in. I am not putting on clothes and neither are you."

"We have a photoshoot later today."

"At 2. It is..." I rolled away to check my phone. I frowned at the new News alert. I was not stalking myself on the internet to see what people were saying. The newest headline I had a notification for said: Olivia Bennett cannot stay out of the tabloids. Or away from hot men.

"Honey?"

"It's 7:53am," I answered quickly.

"You okay?" He asked.

"Yeah," I sighed, rolling out of bed. "I'm going to shower. Feel free to join me."

"I'll start breakfast," he said.

"Okay," I replied, pecking his lips before heading to our Em suite on my phone. Let's read the latest gossip.
