Five
Pretending I was getting an annoying call, I kept nodding my head along with saying one word replies, and then I sighed when I pretended to get off. Toni pressed, “What’s wrong Jay?”
“My sister wants to go out, but she has to babysit at our place. She’s wondering if I can fill in for her,” I made up; convincing enough. John raised his eyebrows. “Really? You have a sister? Is she hot?”
“Guys,” I groaned, shaking me head at them. “I…I guess she is. You think Ethan would mind?”
“Me mind what?” slurred Ethan as he came for his tenth shot. Toni answered for him, “For Jay to take his hot sister’s place in babysitting while she comes here to have some fun.”
I hit Toni’s shoulder and he clutched it. Ethan shook his head. “I don’t mind. Let your sister come here. Besides, you need some sleep, Jay. See ya.”
“Alright, I guess. See ya,” I sighed as I got form my seat and headed out. Once outside, I jumped into my car and went to the park. Back in my stylish room, which was actually in the basement so it had a window that was very to sneak in and out, I changed into a strapless violet with black lace cocktail dress then messed with my hair a bit. I applied eyeliner then changed into some heeled onyx ankle boots, and then I headed back to the club.
I pretended to wander around, blushing whenever the guys whistled at me, and I couldn’t believe that they, the guys that were like my bros, were thinking I was good looking as my girl self. I bet anything they’d be embarrassed if they knew I was their bro Jay.
This was certainly going to be an interesting night.
Declan pov:
I was dancing with some brunette when I saw a gorgeous redhead walk in the club. Her dress wrapped her skinny and fit body as she wandered around, smiling at the guys that whistled at her, and the blush on her face was so adorable.
I had to know her. I patted Ethan’s shoulder and when he looked up, I nodded to the girl; Ethan smiled as we went to meet her. She sat where that Jay had been earlier, and I heard her talking to Toni, “Hey there married guy. Miss me?”
“You? You’re Jay’s sister?” Toni inquired just as Ethan took a seat right next to her while I stood by. “Small world, huh? By the way, I’m Ethan, the boss, and this is Declan, my half bro.” He patted my shoulder. “And our new comer. So, you’re Jay’s sister? And you never did tell us your name.”
“Twin sister, and it’s Caitlin,” she corrected, taking a shot of vodka. Toni laughed a bit. “No way. I cannot believe you are twins with Jay. You, a really good looking gorgeous girl, are twins with him?”
She blushed as she almost choked on the vodka. “Good looking gorgeous girl, eh? How much have you had drinking, laddie?”
Toni, Ethan, and I laughed again. Toni commented, “You have the same Irish accent as Jay. And the same eyes. I guess you two are related. Hey, Caitlin, can you tell us something? How come Jay keeps his faced covered all the time?”
She froze at the question. She drank more vodka before answering. “Oh, well…it’s something Jay doesn’t like to talk about. Jay’s a really good person…and one day a couple years back…our Uncle Gage was a drunk, and…he had his big knife out. He…was swinging around when Jay pushed me out of the way and…he got scarred really badly. It wasn’t pretty, and Jay hates them; it reminds him too much of our twisted family. We don’t talk about them now.”
We nodded, now understanding Jay a little more. Apparently, his past was a big mystery to everyone. Whenever anyone started getting towards that area, Jay would change the subject or make them drop it. Also, apparently, he didn’t look intimidating, but he was an amazing fighter that you didn’t want to cross his paths one day.
Ethan was dragged by the brunette I had danced with earlier, and Toni was dragged by his dark blonde wife, Suzy; Caitlin and I stayed and drank, though I kept an easy conversation going. There was something that reminded me of someone. “So Caitlin, are you good at a lot of things like our bro?”
She laughed. “Our bro? Whatever. But uh…yeah. I learned a lot of things about fixing cars with Jay’s and mine best friend, and I like motorcycles, too. I’m also good at school.”
“You in high school?” I couldn’t believe Jay would let his underage sister come here. She rolled her eyes. “Yes, I’m graduating this year, and this isn’t the first club I’ve been in, Declan. Or my first drink.”
I laughed while she downed the rest of her fourth glass of vodka. “So where does Jay going during the weekdays? Ethan has been talking nonstop about how great Jay is.”
“Now that’s a private secret, laddie.” She smiled wickedly, and I laughed; damn, she was really something…also so familiar. I took her hand in mine. “Wanna dance, hot stuff?”
“Sure, laddie.” I laughed again as we reached the middle of the dance floor. I pulled her close to my body and grinded like everyone else in this club; her arms draped around my shoulders as she moved with me. The top of her head was resting against my chin, and I kissed the top of her head then her cheek, then her neck. She craned her neck a bit so I could kiss it more, and I was enjoying myself. Finally, I brought my mouth on hers, and after a few seconds, I ran my tongue along her bottom lip; I felt her smile as she let my tongue swipe in and explore her mouth. I felt her tug at my belt loop as he walked somewhere then stopped, and I realized her back was to a wall while I was still kissing her; my hands moved down to her waist as her finger entwined with my short hair. The kiss was practically burning me like the alcohol I had drunken. I needed this, I needed her. I pull her as close as I can to my body, and I feel her wrap her arms around my shoulders more; I think she’s enjoying this. I glided my lips past her mouth to her ear, which I nip a bit as I whisper huskily, “You wanna go somewhere?”
She held her breath but then released it. “Yeah,” she answered breathlessly. I smiled as I took her hand and led her out of Ethan’s club. I was about to call a taxi when Caitlin tugged at my hand to a sweet black car, and she handed me the keys; I drove her to my decent apartment, still impressed by her car. “Where did you get your ride?”
“An uncle.” She waved the subject off, and then I remembered how much I wanted her. I wrapped my arm around her waist and led her up while her head rested on my shoulder, and I unlocked the door and let her in first. The apartment was basic, nothing special, but it was good enough for me. It was home.
Caitlin had been looking around when I came from behind and wrapped my arms around her waist and began kissing her slender neck. She turned around in my arms and our mouths were reunited. I slowly edged her closer and closer to my bed as I began to bed this amazing, unbelievable girl who I think I had fallen in love with at first sight; damn, how corny was I?
At some point, she whispered huskily in my ear, “Declan…why are you so familiar to me?”
“I don’t know why,” I also replied huskily. “You’re familiar to me, too, Caitlin. But I really don’t care right now.”
“Neither do I,” she agreed. That was enough for me. This had to be the best thing that’s ever happened to me in my life. It was so sweet and tender yet passionate and kinda rough, and I couldn’t help but think I was falling in love with this mystery girl; I need her from now on, but would she like that? Does she even like this?
After what seemed millennia’s for me, Caitlin and I laid breathlessly and sweaty in each other’s arms. Her head was on one of my muscled arms and she was facing me, panting heavily; I kept that arm there and the other on her waist. Her clover eyes looked me dead in eyes, and she beamed. “That was…the best thing ever.”
I grinned at her. “Not your first time, like the club and drink?”
She laughed really cutely while shaking her head. “Actually, this was my first time, and it was better than I imagined. I liked doing it with you.”
She snuggled closer to my chest and closed her eyes, and I kept my arms around her as I kissed her forehead. “I’m glad about that.” I wanted to go on, but Caitlin was falling fast asleep on my chest. I smiled at her sleeping form, kissed her head again, and then followed her lead.
